@Hoximore Press fire, don't hold it. As soon as you've pressed it, you can then hold sprint and run/jump. As soon as you've pressed shoot, pretend you haven't and that you can run around and jump as normal.

No he's talking of a kind of strafe that isn't using a and d. I saw some people that use it... You just press w and turn you mouse,and at a certain angle, you jump and it's doing a good strafe. It work good on OS but not normal :)

hi while i strafe i dont use a or d i dont know why but it doesnt help me and i fail every time when i try pressing on of those i just press W and strafe. i can strafe a descent distance but not really far. help? does it matter or?

what was ridiculous about it? i removed it for other reasons, fast is that this is rpg strafe tutorial done on a map that is for no-rpg only(gap_training), 320 is poor for rpg, he does the strafe rpg wrong way anyway. with the way he does the rpg u could never do a 380 rpg

The map isn't made for no-RPG-only, the record for normal strafe is 316 and the jumps go up to 329! He does 329 in the video, which is not 'easy' by normal standards, especially for those who are likely to want to watch a tutorial video. The video wasn't aimed at high skilled jumpers, because most of them already know how to RPG reasonably well. Out of interest, what map has 380 distance gaps to test on?

It is mp_gap_training, but you would be better off downloading the improved version, mp_codjumper_training. Search for "jump maps download" on Google and choose the first link, then CoD4, and then mp_codjumper_training. Follow the instructions at the bottom of the page in order to get it to work.
