  • She was innocent but however you have to remember that Anne executed any people that spoke out against her. She caused a lot of sadness and pain herself, she treated her sister like crap, did not let her sister see her own children and banned her from court all because she fell in love. Not very innocent is she?

  • so dignified ...for a woman who is about to die ...but i loved the end of the series before he died he was haunted by his former wives ...he got what deserved old fat and alone

  • Natalie Dormer, what an amazing actress. <3

  • Anne was so courageous in the face of death! That alone is admirable, not to mention that she was also strong-willed, intelligent, generous, and didn't put up with Henry's shit. I'll always respect her.

  • i saw the whole sries and i love it but i still don't know if inside the swan, the cake or whatever it was. Did it contain something of anne?

At first i thought it was her head he commanded on a plate you know but...

and happiehtoast i understand you totally...

just after she died,... he was such a greedy selfish man.

  • @JanaeDlilah-there is some historial evidence that supports the idea which said that the swans which swam the Thames could only be eaten by the Queen unless there was no reigning Queen, then the King could order that a swan be caught for him to eat. There is some literary license taken here, but it was supposed to be how Henry was notified that Anne had been executed. I also watched the entire series....it was very interesting and very well filmed.

  • one cannot imagine how much hatred I felt for henry by the time he was eating the swan.

  • Anne only blessed the King to protect her daugther

  • She was killed as she could not produce a boy child. After her 1st child Elizabirth`s birth..she suffered miscarriages probably due to stress....so much pressure ! Also Henry lost interest and moved on with other women...Poor Anne had no chance.

  • Her dad dot her into it.… It was that damn Lord Boleyn's idea to gain power that way… ANNE!!!!!!!!!! Although I loved Catherine… I hate history sometimes.

  • Anne was found guilty of treason, whether Anne was guilty or not (I personally believe she was not guilty). Treason was punishable by death, and in those days it was very common for people to be executed in public. The mentality was very different in the 16th century, just as it was in the 19th century, and as it will be 100-200 years from now. Things that we consider acceptable today will probably one day be considered insane years from now.

  • Loooooove this actress!!

  • Why, Henry?

  • @TheSweden000 becouse Henry was very selfish and cruel man.

    Poor Anne Boleyn

  • make way for the kings household? there's no one in the way O_o

  • who is the guy watching from behind the corner ?

  • @CircusZoneTV It;s her lover. Thomas Wyatt. He loves Anne and was seperated from her on henry's orders

  • i thought that box at the end was anne's body

  • Why is she so popular with everyone and hailed as a martyr. Because of her Wolsey and Thomas More, two of the king's best advisors were killed and a legitimate queen was tossed aside. Not to mention the brutal politics from the split in the church. She was nothing but a whore who caused trouble and left a trail of destruction. She got off too easy in my opinion.

  • @ewva314 Yes but if it wasn't for her history and present day would've been drastically different. Wolsey deserved what he got for being a corrupt Cardinal, and Katherine was only a legitimate Queen for a short while until Arthur died. Anne wasn't a whore because she was virginal (unlike Katherine) until she was betrothed to Henry. She caused trouble, yes. But her trail of 'destruction' led for a better England. Mainly through Elizabeth because Anne wasn't a Queen as long.

  • our modern day ann bolyn is dianna.. look at queen and his horse bride camila.

  • the king assigned a professional sword man for the execution of Boleyn according the history !

  • I've just finished reading 'The Lady in the Tower' by Alison Weir - a really well-researched book about Anne's downfall. The available evidence suggests that she was genuinely innocent. Henry may have believed that she was guilty so he is not wholly to blame. She didn't deserve her ending, however.

  • @RoonJazz Yes she did.

  • @Galinda I could not agree more! except Elizabeth I is my favourite Queen ever. :)

  • @XwispaX

Haha I thought so too xD

  • Henry you pig :L

  • @nintendomania12

    Yes , my speech ;D .. I was so angry ... -.-

  • The anniversary of Anne's death is approaching. God bless you Queen Anne. I have NO doubt that you are as you have said, "living in everlasting peace w/them." (your brother, the innocent men, & now w/your Elizabeth as well) I would like to have known you. Maybe sometime I can.

  • she has 3 boobs

  • long live the kong

  • Anne was not guilty of any of the charges! she only wanted to give Henry the son he wanted. She was charged of incest and treason. Neither of which could be proven. Henry just wanted a wife that could provide him with a son to be the heir. Anne was NOT hated by all. And she gave England the BEST ruler they have EVER seen: Elisabeth I! Anne will forever be my favorite Queen of England!

  • @galinda094 You are so right....she was killed as no male heir...some do not understand that

  • Booorring, I wanted to see the blood gush....another interchangeable part wears out and loses its head...

  • DEAR GOD DID THEY EAT HER HEAD?!

  • king henrys a fat pig

  • who on earth draws inspiration to make films on such awful barbaric things? honestly I believe no king can be good because origins of royal power lay in murders and cowardness

  • Lucky cow..could have been much worse!!

  • @thechuckwillkill It was mainly propaganda, people at the time of her reign called her a witch who bewitched the king into divorcing Catherine for her. She also was unconventional, somethign new they weren't used to plus she was protestant and most of the people in england at the time were catholic when Henry started the Church of England.

  • @hiddenshadow118 Although the actresses eyes are a lovely violet blue, the real Anne Boleyn's eyes were dark brown. One commentator at the time described her eyes as almost black. She was not considered conventionally beautiful at the time; she had olive skin, brown hair and eyes, (light skin and fair hair were preferred) but she obviously had real sex appeal, not to mention intelligence and wit. She also gave birth to one of the greatest monarchs this country has ever seen - Elizabeth I.

  • @thechuckwillkill

    there are many reasons

She was not a typical queen she was something new

Also the crowd thought she was the raison that queen catherine of aragon and henry were divorced

    And Catherine was really popular

and because of her the king tried everything to marry her he even get his own country into danger (when he broke up with rome)

  • Honestly it makes me happy that Henry died an obese, gluttoneous, gangrenous goober of a man.

  • I personally think Anne was not guilty of any of the charges against her. That being incest and adultery the most of course.

I love Anne Boleyn- she will always be my favorite wife and QUEEN of Henry the 8th.

  • "FRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!"

  • I understand that this isnt historically accurate, but this was wonderfully done and im sure it will inspire more people to learn more about her. I've always loved the Tudor period and Anne has always been my favourite queen :D The symbolism of Henry devouring the swan was wonderful as well.

  • i would kill for her eye color...

  • The biggest cowards of all, even more than the kings and Catholic popes who ordered the executions, were the people who stood there and watched. Was there no decency back then? How could you stand there and watch an innocent person lose their head? Being unable to bear a son is NOT a crime by any means.

  • @ladykimtudor

I see... Well i guess it was diffrent on that time. Exsecutions was ''normal''.

But when you say it that way, it sounds like i nice thougt :P

  • @XwispaX that would be canabilisim hun

  • So inhumane and barbaric. And on top of that they're chopping her head off in front of a little kid. That little kid will be traumatized for the rest of his life.

  • and ew what is the guy eating at the end? Anne's head?

  • I cant belive people wanted to WATCH other people die like this! If I had lived at this time, i would never have watched an execution voluntarly!

  • @Tereseboo it was actually out of respect so the person that was being executed would not have to die alone

  • @Tereseboo it was actually out of respect for the person that was being executed so that person would not have to die alone

  • really how rudde his ex wife died nd all he thinks about his eating

  • Even though I don't watch the series.. This is very emotional

  • I nearly cried

  • Couragous young woman.

  • That was a kind thing the French executioner did, to distract her so she wouldn't know it was coming, and not feel it.

  • I have a question, what happens to the maids of the queens you were executed, do they come back to court and wait on the next queen something like that, just wondering.

  • @XwispaX i thought that too hahaha ^^

  • what evil. ungodly, cowardly people.... it is an insult to quote the Bible in the face of such ignorance and COWARDICE

  • Can somebody explain to me the significance or the reason for the swan?

I honestly thought they were going to present Anne's head to show that it truly was beheaded...

  • That's class, I expected to see her head

  • I truly have no hate for Anne Boleyn. Her contribution, and change moulded the face of England into what it is now. How could we loathe someone for that? Society tells us that her intentions were ruthless, but really, she was driven by her family, as most women were in that day and age.

  • it is supposed to be a cure for acne

  • 09:03 he's happy now cuz anne's dead

  • @XwispaX hahaha so did I :)

  • The King who beheaded his wife will be beheaded in hell for all eternity.

  • @beewrotten Yes you're right, she was executed at the scaffolding site in privacy. While I did enjoy the Tudor series, there were several notably inaccuracies thru out.

  • A homewrecker getting what she deserves.

  • DID THEY REALLY CUTTED THE ACTER HEAD?!

  • @suzen9 oh god no

  • @suzen9 yes they did... killed Natalie Dormer dead as hell

  • This was her punishment for indirectly killing the rightful Queen of the English, Catherine. And Henry VIII could have been a wonderful King and husband (that way, he perhaps could have had a son).

  • @AvatarMarxon90 that's not necessarily true it's thought that Catherine was died of cancer and even if she was still Queen she still could have got cancer and died of it because there were no real treatments for it at the time, And Henry was no wonderful king even before his marriage to Anne, how would you like your husband cheating on you then giving his bastard son titles and a little court of his own, Henry liked power and would have got it one way or another

  • omg what is henry eating??????

  • Selfish arrogant murdering pig.

  • @LifeLoveMeaning , Agreed!

He discarded his queens like they were garbage when they couldnt give him a son...and it was his fault why his queens had so many miscarriages and couldnt have sons!

  • It's funny how this serious truly made Henry V111 looked more handsome then he ever was. Nice casting there as in reality he was about as attractive as a rusty oil tanker, and had an ego the size of the British Isles. Talk about psychotic. Sadly he never faced the same fate as the women that he butchered.

  • one of his lesser moments def!

  • Ironic isn't it?

He wanted a son only to be disappointed to have a girl who would later rule England alone.

  • exactly!!

  • Getting rid of Catherine and Anne because they did not give him a son heir to the throne... If only Henry knew what a Queen his DAUGHTER was to be...

  • Anne is completely innocent,right?

  • I remember bawling like a baby when this originally aired. My mom and I were watching it together and it was like a weep fest. (Stupid estrogen.) But Natalie Dormer was AMAZING. And I liked that they used Anne's actual speech. They use accurate quotes very often on The Tudors. It's nice to see.

  • it is said in the history books that Ann was very evil she was a mean person and she was extremely mean to Mary........ that is another reason why she was executed

  • @singerandmoviestar I think she was mean to Mary because thats who her husband was cheating with. Wasnt it?

  • I think the that basically, it was Katherine,Henry's first wife who made the first step to this whole string of havoc. It was her who couldn't bear him a son in the first place. But I like Katherine the best among all Tudor characters.

  • The girl she sees as she dies was her. She was reminiscing her childhood days with her father.

  • Great scene!

  • Who is the little boy?

  • @uofc57 That's the son of Charles Brandon

  • I thought Anne was executed because of another reason. I know the people hated her but Henry said that she flirted with another man and so she was executed.

  • I think Natalie portrays Anne very well, and I think that if Anne hadn't have been executed, history would be changed forever. If she also died in 1528, there would have been no Elizabethm which is just wrong.

  • On the eve of her execution, Anne Boleyn got down on her knees before Lady Kingston and asked her to deliver a message to the Lady Mary in which she begged the Lady Mary's pardon for the cruelties she had inflicted upon her. Lady Kingston herself got down on her knees before the Lady Mary, and delivered that message word for word. She died a lady. By the time of her death, it was well known she was innocent.

  • @tonyclifton2010

I think it has something to do with his ruthlessness... If you remember, a few episodes before Anne's death he was admiring two swans swimming in the pond in his castle's gardens.

  • its depressing that stuff like that happened all the time back then, what a fucked up world it was.

  • @EmoKoolaidKid It still happens around the world to this day. We are no better than they were back then. Different methods of execution, but the ending is just the same

  • Rest in peace, Queen Anne. Your innocence has been proven and your daughter triumphed in the end. VIVAT ANNA!!!

  • Nathalie Dormer is a great actress. I saw others as Anne Boleyn, but they weren't as half as good as she. Great!

  • She is the perfect Anne Boleyn.:)

  • what an amazing actress...wow i just think she displayed everything that would have been going through Annes mind, she looked like shed lost all hope as she walked through the crowd.

  • This is such a sad scene.

    Natalie is fantastic.

    R.I.P Anne Boleyn.

The Tudors isn't the same without her.

  • One of the most epic takes on her execution I've seen. Loved the symbolism with the swan. Despite the historical errors (not being blindfolded, done in front of a crowd) I think it's beautifully shot.

  • evaperonfan: And her husband, the one who likely had her framed: where is he?

It is always easy to the blame the woman, right?

  • @evaperonfan hahahaha I can't stop laughing lol That was very random

  • @evaperonfan You are an idiot.

  • I just wanted to see what reaction I would get. I was making fun of Catherine and Mary fans. I actually support Anne and Elizabeth.

  • if the power of the monarchy were to be as it was then, Diana would not have had a chance for divorce.Prince charles would have had her executed .

  • This scene always makes me cry. Natalie Dormer did this scene so brilliantly. That was terrible what Henry did to her. I guess it's only fitting justice that Elizabeth, her daughter, becomes the most successful Queen of England.

  • Best portrayal of Anne Boleyn ever, hands down. I know she wasn't executed in front of crowds, but I can only imagine how terrified she must have been deep down. Such a brave woman. Yet another victim of misogyny.

  • Although Anne was not my favorite queen, I still say that her death sentence was unjust

  • Rest in Peace Queen Jane, Queen Mary and Queen Katherine, my beloved ancestors

  • guess i wont keep watching that show without natalie as anne. she was the main reason i started watching it and she'll be the reason i stop watching it. she was great and the best actress that could've been found for that role as anne boleyn. loved her expressions, mostly loved her voice. she was the best. <3

  • very sad...

  • What a discusting past our royalty has!

    RIP Queen Jane

    RIP Queen Kathrine

    RIP Queen Anne

  • I agree 100%

  • Sorry, don't keep up with this show. Can anyone explain the girl she sees as she dies? A memory of when she was young?

  • That's probably her daughter Elizabeth.

  • Yes. I think that the little girl she sees, is herself, and the man, is her dad

  • I like Natalie's portrayal of Anne's execution. She was composed and calm, much like Anne is thought to be.

  • she truly believed there was going to be a reprieve. after all, this had never happened. there wasn't even a funeral planned, and there were 3 weeks to plan for it. when she died, there wasn't even a casket ready. her body was shoved into an extra arrow box, and that is what she was buried in. she was still praying when she was executed, supposedly, when they held her body up, the lips were still moving. and a lot of the court people had thought the king would relent also.

  • Can someone explain to me about the Bird at the end!? I mean it was just gross, what was he eating?

  • Remember how there were two swans swimming in the pond? One represented Henry and one Anne. After he beheads her, they also kill the swan that represents her and he devours it. It definately was gross! But it is supposed to show how gluttonous and sociopathic his character is

  • didnt know about the swan

  • Much of this programme is bullshit, historically.

  • it's history as soap, but that's an intersting concept, as much more time is spent looking at this period than is normal. They've actually tried quite hard to be accurate though they are not totally so. The sex glamour and appearance of many of the characters is not at all accurate. I've read that many historians have found they've enjoyed it much to their surprise.

  • poor Anne!

    R.I.P Queen Anne!

  • Henry, out of his compassion for Anne, decided that she would be excecuted by the best swordsman in the land - Calais, which is now part of France, but at the time it was part of England's relm.

She was also excecuted in the Tower Green. No "common" person was allowed acsess to see the death of a queen.

The people of England hated Anne, so there was no way for the people to be praying for her. Even aat the time of her death she had no allie's at court since they had all been treated rudely.

  • Actually, by the time of her execution many of the common people had began to have pity on Anne. Though they had hated her in the beginning, it was clear what Henry's motives were to many of them.

  • But, as a Queen, Anne would never have been excecuted in public - thats why she died at the Tower Green.

  • I fully agree on that point and I did not mean to imply that I thought she was executed in public. Sorry. I only meant to state that the main reason for her fall and subsequent execution was because she failed to provide Henry with a son. Had she had a prince, her position would have been safe no matter what. Henry had grown very tired of her, but had she had a son, he would have dealt with it.

  • the end of this episode was messed up and kind of gross... the bird I mean.

  • @gaaraxnaru I accepted Anne's execution. But when I saw Henry had murdered one of God's most beautiful birds to be a fookin' GARNISH for his meal, using his hand as if he were ripping out her guts and heart.

  • @SHADOWBOXERBAYBEE I completely agree- at least Anne deserved it while what did that swan do- look pretty. I wonder what they'd do if they saw some models now- do you think they would kill them and put a pie in the middle??

  • waste of a nice ass... whats the matter with these people.

  • I liked Nathalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn but I also like jANE sEYMOUR

  • Henry seems to have lost quite a bit of weight...

  • This was when he was still rather young.

  • He was 45. Anne was executed in 1536, 11 years before the death of Henry VIII. The King's portraits by Hans Holbein (the Younger) from 1536 show him to already be quite the husky gentleman that the world has come to know. But I doubt that Cinemax would ever make a series that wasn't exclusively full of the "beautiful people"

  • why she is should have an execution? what did she do?

  • She didn't bear a son, so was beheaded on trumped up charges of adultery, incest and witchcraft to clear the way for another wife.

We know today that the father determines the sex of the child. And Anne's daughter was the greatest of the Tudors: Elizabeth.

  • well, that and she pissed them off when she was vocal about religion.

  • I want to puke everytime i see him eating the swan lol. it looks awful. and anne boleyn's body is not even cold.

  • LOL i thought it was anne's head

  • When I first saw this scene I thought that Henry made a pie out of Anne.

Instead he made Swan pie which is a delicacy.

  • They looked upset in the end to me.

  • Like Catherine she was the wrong choice of wife for him, she was untrustworthy though, but i dont think she was incestious with her brother, the evedince is rubbish against her.

However, she'll rise again on judgement day like King Henry and the rest of us.

  • whats the deal with the stuffed swan

  • Because Henry is a bastard. That's all.

  • Dude did she pay the executioner?

  • She paid him to make her execution swift. Also, the payment was like a tip for killing her. Ironic.

  • i think he did still love her somewhere deep down thats also why it was swift, it wouldnt have accepted it otherwise

  • Death sux. Its so...permanent.

  • It makes me so sad to watch this bt like a bad car reck on the side of the highway you are compelled to look and I can only say that I hope the good lord Jesus have mercy on her soul for i know she deserves it God save the queen

  • Why did they have someone who doesn't look the least bit like Henry VIII play his part?

  • She rocked But she did not look ahead..

Well I tohught they werre going ot bring her him his head for a minute there what asshole..........

  • That was my thought too..it was probably the director's intention to make you believe that. Nice breakfast anyway!

  • God Save Queen Anne

  • Why was she gonna be killed?

  • She failed to produce the king a male heir which ticked him off. There were then rumors that she had cheated on him with other men, including her own brother, and he believed them. The rumors were most likely not true, but this gave him an excuse to get rid of her. Being unfaithful to the king was punishable by death.

  • Oh, I see..thanks by the way.

  • In England at that time there was a very powerful man who felt intimidated by Anne and he plotted against her making everyone believe that she commited adultery and incest. Whats sad is that everyone believed him - even Henry. Henry ordered her beheading along with the men. She was truely innocent.
