i have a way for xp go to login press ctrl alt del login administrator no password in cmd type(net user}net user put username next then alt 8 put disered pass NOTE.THE PASS WILL NOT APPEAR JUST TYPE IT THEN HIT ENTER THEN REBOOT AND TYPE THE PASS YOU PUT

so you have physical access and a live cd. why even boot windows? you already have access to everything.

Any linux live cd.

Knoppix is good for that, so is slitaz. Ubuntu is good but more heavy on resources (but also easier to use).

ive never thought about launching explorer.exe on the welcomescreen, ive always just used net user :username: *,, but this is better :) thanks for posting

no because the aplication is ran localy, the only thing it would be vulnerable to is people who tend to turn sticky keys on on the login screen
