  • Mark Goldweber, R.I.P.

  • I found this video quickly after reading J. Dunning's NY Times obituary today. I didn't see the name of the dancer at first, but I knew immediately from the way Dunning described his dancing that it had to be Mark Goldweber. Rest in peace, Mr. Goldweber. Thank you.

  • Rest in Peace Mark. Thank you for all of the beautiful things you did, and for your kindness and generosity to your students. You left us all too soon.

  • Wonderful, Mark was the best in this role.

  • Absolutely the finest Blue Skater in Patineurs. Bravo!!!

  • Moar pls.

  • @balletnut Forgot to mention it was the Royal Ballet, but then I guess you got that from ROH! :)

  • @balletnut I was at the general rehearsal for Les Patineurs (a triple with Peter and the Wolf and The Tales of Beatrix Potter) today. Go to the ROH website if you want tickets :) It was beautiful.

  • Memories!

The R.B. once had this in their repertoire and I adored it. What's happened to it? It seems to have vanished into thin air!

  • I love this ballet! Its on of the first ballets I did after I joined a company, happy memories.

  • Joffrey did a lot to keep the Ashton flame alive in the US. This is a charming excerpt with a terrific Blue Boy. Thanks for posting it. Do you have any more of the performance?

  • This is the Joffrey Danseur I remember.BRAVO!
