@dudt it's just a singer singing over a backup vocals playback, where all the unimportant vocals are put on and the singer sings the important ones. except in this one she's using a certain back up vocals playback so it seems that there are multiple singers. and acctually her voice is that damn good!

@dudt acctually I figured it out. most of her songs include a background pre-recording (live or studio) I figured out that most artists use this to help the vocals have a echo or make up for back up vocals. In olivia's case I believe it's both for giving locations and keys to certain notes and a vocal back up

Sounds like a lip sync. First of all, most artists will wear an ear piece when performing live. (Helps them sing in the right pitch by hearing their own voice.) You can see she's not wearing one. Secondly, her voice live is slightly deeper, her words more pronounced, and she has a more natural vibrato. (Uneven in some parts.)

Look up the Olivia live at Shibuya video from 2006 and you will hear the difference. (>д<;)

I thought it was playback, but listening closely, she sings pretty good and looks like the original. And you can see it is not playback at the beginning before the chorus (1:05-1:06), she cut the final word (before kizuite,,),, and in the original the word is longer...

actually just after the first chorus, if u just listen to the music, she comes in a bit early on a couple of the lines. that tells me she isnt lip syncing.

yeah yeah, replying to something 5 months old ftw. Singers often run with a DAT recording behind them, notice the Background singers with no background singers present, alot of times, the chorus is left on the DAT to thicken/fatten up the voice, and give a reverb/chorus type feel to it. There are also other electronic modules that will hold a note for a singer even after they close their mouth.

I am not saying that's what is going on here, but just because one verse she closed her mouth early and the note carried, is not enough to say she's lip syncing... dropping the mic without making a sound in the mic and the main verses going, now that's lip syncing (Ashley Simpson)

A good fake live has all that you menchant, this is definitely fake, there's 3 guitars (just like the album) but they have only 1 guitarist, there are atleast 3 other female backing vocals which are missing too and the synthesizers & strings throughout the song isn't played by anyone either. If all this is playback then I still don't see why everything else isn't since every single breathing and note sounds exactly like the album and the tempo is an exact match of the original too.
