V-max is the only Jap crap I would own. Sportster is ok but Dyna is where it is at. Or the new Dyna called the V-Rod. Look out V-Rod is owning left and right track everywhere. What did Harley do????

@ThePiranhaman look @33 -34 seconds, pulls front up then lets off too much then pulls up again and lets up a little, anyway a stock vmax is a 11second bike with a good rider , a guy by me has a '97 vmax on the bottle and runs mid 10's @132, I ride a sporty but I like the vmax it's the only jap bike I would buy.
Good run guys, great to see two evenly match bikes go head to head. Tired of seeing a turbo busa beat a stock Vmax and then listen to comments about how slow the Vmax is.
@breakdrum Yeah a busa is faster but when you're not racing "99% of your riding time" you would have to ride around on a POS uncomfortable crotch rocket, I call them BOOsa's, I was going to buy a busa but got a built race ready sporty instead, now 6years later and I couldn't be happier with the choice I made.

I would love to see anyone on a crotch rocket ride 600 miles a day, rest couple of hours and drive a couple hundred more each day for a month. I can do it on my Harley Wide Glide, and still be able to stand up and walk straight , can't do it on crotch rocket.

@surrynet i heard that, i can't ride my R1 for more than 150 miles without having to stretch and rest for an hour, but I've ridden my Sportster over 1,200 miles in 18 hours, never had to stop for more than 10 minutes to get gas and drink a water real quick

It's 883/1250 NRHS kit,883 heads dual plugged,titanium collars,modified std.valves,guides,throat and matched manifold.Mikuni HSR42,SE air filter,V&H pro pipe exhaust.N8 Andrews cams and aluminium adj.pushrods.Dyna 2000i ign. with custom ign.map,2x 80kV dual fire coil,ACCEL spiral core HT wires and NGK iridium spark plugs.We did not hve enough time for carb fine tuning, also final ratio was incorrect because of 150/80 Metzeller rear tyre.
