@gunnerthedenmark the mauser is my favorite as well...when i say i choose it over the mosin people bring up the mosin PU scope snipers from ww2...pisses me off...most dont know that the germans didnt train with marksman ship nearly as much as the russians.also.the germans had a 4/1 average KD ratio...both are good though.
@mrantihippie well, germans had not as such big need of snipers, the best trained snipers in ww2 was not russian, nor german or american, but they where from finland, (finnish) they had the best snipers, but moste of ther army was snipers, due to the fackt that russia and germany both attacked them, enyway, i still prefer the kar 98, much better and have a better looks to it too
@Polenar i know it was a sniper...im just asking if its accurate compared to the mauser...i have a perfect condition 1944 yugo 24/47 mauser and am thinking of buying a 91/30 for christmas.i think it would be cool to have both sides.
@Polenar Yea, and they used Kar98k as a sniper, Springfield as a sniper, Italian M91 as a sniper, probably Lee Enfield No 4 as a sniper. Get it? ALL bolt action rifles are accurate.
@mrantihippie the Mosin Nagant was used by the best snipers in WWII,the best Russian snipers got over 400-900 kills with them, yes they are accurate, i own one too
@mrantihippie I can attest to mranthippie's comment. I have shot a Mosin-nagant that had been through world war 2 before. These things are spot-on accurate, and lots of fun to shoot.
@mrantihippie most of the 91/30`s shot a little low, so to make up for it the drill instrutor would tel them to aim for the belt or belt buckle for a gut shot (kill shot)
It stands for military simulation. we use tactics an procedures as in the army but we use airsoft guns - we also do scenario games that are almost the same as military exercises
the stock is nice but ya need to whip that bolt into shape there are a few good vids on here to fix the sticky bolt problem. just search "mosin nagant bolt modifications, what language are you speaking btw?
it depends on the rife itself it accuracy is good but not great and easy to maintain and handle but always make sure to clean the carisne on the bolt because if you dont you will have a lot more trouble with reloading as the bolt is not smooth as a k98 or springfield but it does it job and ammo isnt that hard to find
man i go pig hunting all the time, and i have the mosin nagant but i like to use the sks alot more cause its semi auto so if theres more pigs more killing. also its really cheap and easy to find. look it up on youtube
I sold my mosin about 2 month ago. I really hated that bolt...and that stock and those sights and that trigger... Man im happy that i sold that piece of shit. Eventhough it was a shooter.
How do you like your Vz58? I have been thinking of buying one..Or maybe saiga.
hehe... No, theyre Really big cap guns.. That Shoot BB's that are known to and not limited to:giving you a bad headache,Making your day a really bad one, and putting holes through 10mm of steel plating...
and just love how no camera can Capture the full "BANG" of a Mosin nagant... Ours dont even try to capture my m91's Bang... it sounds more like a Cap gun on camera despite IT has its own Sonic boom...XD
if i may i had the same problem with my m91/30 mosin nagant. what u need to do is take a 20 guage shotgun cleaning brass bruch and put it on a dowel and a drill and spin it in the chamber. i promise this will work. bcuz most mosin nagants have been soaked in cosmoline andit is hard to get off. try this and if it doesnt work try soaking it kerosene. watch my video and ull see i had the problem even worse than u did. trust me its not the bolt
well in another video i read that someone was having trouble with laquered casings- he said they heat up and the laquer melts, and when it cools, the laquer reseals like glue. i would reccomend detail cleaning in and around the bullet seat every dozen rounds...
not heat up the bullets like throw them in the oven- when the bullet is fully seated in the chamber, and you fire, the burning propellant heats th casing up so much that the laquer on the shell softens.
im guessing the gun ur shootin at 00:59 is the mosin nagant right? if it is weve had the same prolem with ours witht he bolt it alwas sticks i unno y tho our friend has the same prolem with his too lol its aggravatin
The Nagant is well known for it's powerful action and challenging bolt. After firing a couple hundred rounds through it, you get the hang of it =). Not sure how long till i get the hang of the stripper clips =p.
i agree with ya most definintly the bolts a pain in the ass i guess when i get used tos hooting it a lil more it might get a lil easier but we set up a tree stump solid as hell about 2 foot wide and shot holes through it with the nagant bout all night long lol everyone went slam through it its a truely badass rifle but i wouldnt wanna carry something that heavy through combat lol

sweetmacaque 2 years ago
To heat up live bullets or!?
Hmmm...is that Homer Simpson's idea!?
mfilip62 2 years ago
not heat up the bullets like throw them in the oven- when the bullet is fully seated in the chamber, and you fire, the burning propellant heats th casing up so much that the laquer on the shell softens.
sweetmacaque 2 years ago
I know that, but this is the problem, not the solution.
I misunderstood you, sorry,I thought that you are saying to do this to remove lacquer.
Because of that chamber gets cowered with lacquer, and when you shoot the bullet...you simply don't need spent steal military brass.
Best solution for any kind of lacquer is acetone+brush.
