  • who's afraid of this trailer?

  • I miss old-school movie marketing.

  • this is the worst movie ever this movie sucks even it was made back in 1966

  • @RichardElden What a horribly cruel thing to post! Even if you don't appreciate someone's acting ability (or lack thereof), why would you wish a painful illness and death upon that person?

  • BEST TRAILER EVER

  • Who's afraid of virginia pussy, virginia puss, virgina puss ! ! hahahahahaha

  • @RichardElden well burton and taylor also worked on the taming of the shrew together

  • Look at how different this trailer is from most that you've ever seen. It even repeats the entire sequence! Bold genius!

  • I watched this at the tender age of 6,along with those mopey Bergman movies. It probably explains everything.I'd rather be half of a couple like Taylor/Burton than the younger pair.Train wrecks have charisma and character,at least some.

  • A tour de force performance Liz. Your most memorable movie ever. We'll miss you.

  • Is that the sound for 10 little indians?

  • R.I.P. Elizabeth..

  • Icon. RIP Elizabeth :'(

  • I believe the person who clicked the "Dislike" button must have been blinded by their tears. It's understandable. We'll all miss her. <3 Liz <3

  • RIP to a screen legend :-(

  • R.I.P. <3

  • .... What an epic actress. Sad day today in cinema history.

  • Great movie!!!!!

  • The best goddamned movie ever!

  • Happy Birthday Liz!!

    Xx

  • Happy Valentine's Day ;-) I really love this movie.

  • new and improved, now with more lemon! :))

  • @TheBohemianTenor

Exactly. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is many things, not least of which is a satire.

  • @TheBohemianTenor Sure. From across the street.

  • IN my opinion the best film of the sixties and Elizabeth Tayloor gave a performance of all times

  • When things started getting ugly, why didn't Nick and Honey just go home?

  • @goback3spaces I don't know why either, lol. They didn't have to put up with it.

  • @Tinymissy Yeah. And it's not unique with Albee, either. His first big play, THE ZOO STORY, was all about one guy haranguing another guy on a park bench. Which begs the question: why didn't the other guy just walk away?

  • @goback3spaces Because it was more fun and interesting to stay and witness the train wreck going on that night between Taylor and Burton.

  • Taylor and Burton both have their share of haters -- And regardless of what they say about any other performances they have given, I defy those haters to criticize Taylor's and Burton's phenomenal performances in this film. Absolutely wonderful.

  • Wow Elizabeth. Now this is what acting is all about.

  • @feelgoodaboutit Yeah....and Richard Burton was pretty good too....don't ya think?

  • @colderbeer - Richard's acting is great. I think Liz won the Oscar for this one.

  • @feelgoodaboutit While both of them totally deserved Oscars, NEITHER was awarded one for Virginia Wolfe. It's been said that because they were fooling around with each other (during the making of the film) while being married to other people killed their chances of Oscar gold that year....

  • @colderbeer - Actually Elizabeth Taylor won the Academy award for Best Actress in Virginia Woolf. Richard was nominated for Best Actor in the film, but lost to Paul Scofield in A Man for All Seasons. As for their fooling around, sometimes attention draws interest, and with that comes viewers. I'm sure those interested in the famous couple was outweighed by the brown noses that would stay home because of their affair, as she did win the Academy award.

  • @feelgoodaboutit Thank-you, and of course you're right. It was a crime that Burton didn't win as well. The scenes in this movie are amazingly long and so compelling....with very few breaks....and tons of dialogue between the Taylor and Burton. Can you imagine trying to memorize all of those lines? Movies in today's era have scenes that are so brief in comparison....

  • @colderbeer Yes, and even though Richard Burton had stage training and experience, Elizabeth Taylor wasn't a stage actress at all, came up as a girl from the Hollywood studio system.

But, clearly, Taylor must have studied acting somewhere along the line, taken some classes at the Actor's Studio or at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Because this is basically a filmed play, which required a level of proficiency not normally held by mere film actors.
