This was the first NCAA tourney for this Loyola run and gun team. I remember when they came on the scene. Little did anyone know that they would be the national darlings two years later after the unfortunate Gathers incident.

College Basketball right at the beginning of the 3 point rule in 1987 to 1990 was a great era and not as appreciated era of college basketball. Plus they weren't wearing overly baggy shorts or not really short short shorts (that could be up for argument) . I was sick and was able to watch this 1988 game between LMU/WYO. matchup. Such fun basketball, i wish some Div. 1 team would run that style again. At least Memphis has DDM
