THE POLICE CARS ARE SPEED LIMITED TO 130 MPH, due to the fact they have 3:55 gears in the rear end..

The Impala can do 140 ish so , no the vic cant catch up.

they started making LS1's in 1998 when the new camaro body style came out......had the same motor as the corvette at the time, and the impala had the corvette motor as well. they stopped making the SS impala in 1996......it's an LT1.
