I've completed this game and the chamber of secrets (ps1 version) 15 times and still feels like the first time I'm playing it!!!!first two games where much more faithful to the books than the others, since they started making the games based on the movies they just keep getting worse not to mention the character cause in the first 2 games it wasn't focused on looking like the actor but in what it should look in the book witch is much better (but my opinion of course) XD

Yes, the word philosopher is used in American-English, but the simple fact that "Sorcerer" made more sense in this case, was essentially the deciding factor in changing the title of the book, not the "F*cking Americans" or the "dumb americans" or "dumbing down", you're just ignorant, and you need to come to terms with it. Same here. The first three PC games were fantastic, but if you have any older console (gamecube, XBox, PS2 etc), I'd recommend you try those games as well. They are really good. Very different from the PC versions!

i think the first and second one on the ps1 were great but in the 3rd one they took away the puzzle bit that the first and second one had like they had the gringotts mine cart bit/ when u had to collect scrolls, at the end of the 1st one with the chess etc and i think they took that away from the 3rd even though i did enjoy the 3rd, yet with the 4th i couldn't get into it at all

Did they make a 3rd game for the ps1? I had HP 1, 2 and 3 for gamecube and they were all fantastic, still keeping in tasks and puzzles (in one, you have to rescue Neville who is trapped behind a tapestry!)

The 4th was crap for all systems (PC, gamecube...) They didn't make a separate version for PC like they had with the first three, which was a mistake.

im quite a big fan of harry potter. especialy the games. i only had the first one for a year or two until the next one came out. i could always 100% finish the 2nd one in a week or so but i could never 100% complete the 1st one. i always missed wizard cards, so i was sneaky and looked at hints on the internet so i 100% completed them. by now the third one was out, i wasnt too impressed as they scrapped flipendo, the first spell you ever learned. i completed that 100% in one day! countinued:

1,2 and 3 are by far the best HP games (at least for PC and gamecube) in my opinion.

I don't like the sandbox style games HP5 and 6. I was happy in the first three games going around and learning spells. Having said that, it's great to explore the castle in HP5- gets a bit boring after a while though.
