  • @devilslice this is a dumb question but when you buy motor mounts do you have to completely remove the engine to install them plus what is the benefit

  • By using a BOV or DV venting to the atmosphere you´ll lose power and can damage the engine in a mid-long future pal use a recirculated one to do things as it should.

    maybe by using a DV properly not but if you run it with a common BOV or an open DV you definitly loss power in light/mid modified engines unless of course you got some EMS system to tune or control mixture variation.. this maybe cant be easily detected on driving impressions but in numbers theres no any doubt

    Not open DV. I am talking about the DV used on a GTI. I have a leon2 FR, and i have run it with and without the spacer (forge DV and spacer). No power loss in either case

  • @ClaudioArrau what I mean if that works ok in your car it is just great whether anybody believe it or not Iwas just talking about our own experience on several cars and conditions here anyway this is common here due to most people keeps their cars for some years but if you usually change about 2/3 years all this matter shouldnt be important.   • that is not competely true, it hurts the 1.8T but no the 2.0TFSI if you understand how this engine works. the only problem is that you lose the air which was blown off and the turbo needs to charge new air which can cost you some minimal time, best thing to do is to let it as it way because that way the blown off air is transported to the intake again and the turbo keeps spinning (sorry for my bad english)

  • get a diverter valve its better for oerformance but doesnt really make the sound or look at forge splitters its a bov and a dv

  • I would not fit the Forge spacer it causes power loss, its a waste of money. Had one on the Dyno it lost 15 WHP over stock.

  • I truly agreed with you, I just got mine installed today 060408 and it sucks... I will sell it on e-bay... It sounds so lo I have the adjustable one and try all positions and you could barely hear the blow off. I spent $145.. for shit. I also notice lost of Horse Power and poor idle.
