This is one of my favourite films, I happened upon it by chance on the TV one night, saw it had Christian Bale and John Hurt in, decided to watch the whole thing. Because of the quality of acting and the sensitivity of the script (a film like this could very easily be total cheese) it was incredibly disturbing and moving and it stayed with me for a long time. For anyone who cares about animals and their welfare it is a definite must-see.

Not finding Christian Bale particularly good looking, It's still obvious to me that he looked better when he was younger than he does now. Unless to stupid whores who date men 20 years their senior when they are in their early 20's, who then fall into some "I'm not attractive any more" crisis at age 30 to then start dating economically comfortable men that double their own age to end up pathetically when they reach their 40's "trying" to seduce men that are in their early 20's

This is the best movie about animals's rights that has ever been made, unique in its kind. Only true animal lovers can undestrand it in all its implications The message is clear: animals are not less important than us, the have a value by themselves, not just by virtue of their value to mankind.

I'm so glad my idol Christian Bale starred in this movie, no other actor could have been so cute and sweet, so sensitive to fit this role.

Haven't seen this movie, but it's great seeing Christian looking so youthful, pure and even virginal, that you could try for once not visualizing him for the sexy and tantalizing man he has become. If this was shot two years before The American Psycho where he displayed his fabulous bod to lust for, then he truly is the shapeshifter he describes himself to be. I love him more now as he has gotten older, though he's a cute, charming, sweet, innocent-looking boy here.

I love this movie. This young man is excellent, an actors actor. my opinion is that he & no one els should play Charlly Gordon in A film of " Flowers for Algenon " An award wining novel, similler to this film. I read it and I cryd threw the hole thing and could'nt pout it down. A must read!!!!
