  • Where'd you get the reef diet stuff? Can't find it online..

  • @MysteryoftheGods check out the websites in the description box

  • What are rotifers and phyto? Is that something I could throw in my refugium?

  • @Springs24 you could but they wont last very long as rotifers only have an 8 day lifespan and get eaten by corals and fish.

  • nice video! couldn't you just dump all the roti in a clean bucket every day before you harvest instead of wiping down the same one and loosening all the waste on the sides? just a thought.

  • @kpiotrowski2 yes you could

  • Could you automate the system using a aqualifter on a timer for feedings and another float switch to keep the culture toped off? If so how often should feedings and cleanings be done to the culture bucket?

  • @stolen454 you can, but you have to culture more than you use for the feedings. I used to feed about 1/2 gallon a day and throw away 1/2 gallon. So if you set up the system where it uses the aqualifter to feed 1/2 gallona and replenish it with the float switch, it might work, but you have to manually takeout 1/2 gallon a day and keep up with feeding the nanochloropsis manually. IMO it will be a lot easier to do everything manullay than automate the system.

  • Thanks for the tip I just notice my clownfish pair just spawned yesterday in the afternoon so this is there first clutch. I got it on my my channel.

  • Great video thanks, how many larvae tanks o(r liter of water) are you feeding with that 5 gallon bucket of ROTI ? and may i ask the salinity of larvae and breeder tanks?

  • @airbus530 The daily harvest can feed up to 4 breeding tanks. I have 2 5g buckets....1 as a backup in case one fails. the salinity should always be between 1.018-1.020.

  • How do you filter the rotifers out or just dump water and all into clown tank? I tried a screen coffee filter but seems like they get thru

  • @BelizeGecko I dump the whole cup water and rotifers into the tank but i make sure to keep the water fresh I try to change it every other day.

  • first thing first... where do u get the live rotifer, be4 u can even culture it..?

  • when you harvested you never wore your gloves?

    good video

  • @Richbowker My hands werent really in the water at that point! I just show to wear gloves as a precaution. Rotifers are really hardy!!

  • Very Cool !!!

  • nice this is so cool man you are doing such a great job!.. and where did you buy the Rotifers to start out with and there food?... =]

    *^_^*

  • @CandyFishRave I bought the food from the link at rotifer.com

  • wow that looks like a nice batch of rotifers cant wait to see you raise some clowns!! :D
