Hey all that great info aside, thanks for not wasting our time with some 30 sec intro. More ppl need to start their vids with a "Hi! This is me" and away we go like you.
I've always been a jpg shooter but decided for myself to check out Raw. and was amazed at how good the images where. I processed both raw and jpg images and simply compared them. There was a clear diffrence, the raw converted images had great colour and full of life to them, where as the origional jpg shots seemed lifless and dull. So I'm a convert and will be shooting Raw for all my important shots. Jpg has its uses and I'll still use it but Raw is Fantastic and worth the little extra work.
Watch this youtube video "is your Jpeg better than your Raw" Youtube by Dombowerphoto I think his Nikon or Fuji camera had a hard time writing a very large Raw file that is like one in a million so I think if you have a camera that can make JPEGS also on the fly as a back is not a bad idea.
He could have just had a bad memory card that had a bad data sector when writing the data.

I didn't watch the whole video because it's getting late, so if he said this i apologize. How much more space does raw take up over jpeg?
M1sterHamilton 8 months ago
@M1sterHamilton - Anywhere from 2 to 4 times more space. Depends on your compression settings for both RAW and JPG.

HI, can i ask what you use to edit your pictures? is it Aperture or Lightroom? any thoughts also on why you've chosen one over the other?
analliator 11 months ago
@analliator - I use Lightroom. It's the best RAW convertor out there. Blows Aperture away for quality of conversions, especially for noise.
