  • The rubber air hose grommets distribute the weight across the top of the batteries. And these aren't lead acid batteries. The "battery" weighs 30.6 pounds.

    Yes, we could devise racks, problematically. But then we have to get the "racks" out to access the batteries beneath.

    Further, we had a perfect 50/50 weight distribution, and are modifying that with the addition of 61.2 pounds to the rear. We don't want MORE of this rear weight than we can avoid.

    It looks amateurish. it works great.

  • you could have also use thick rubber-string that are used for a big tents and hook them in place.

    This works well aslong as you have the right quality tie-wraps.

    Ps: thinking of this all iol-product materials to make an electric-car.

  • I wonder about the weight of the batteries sitting on the top of the batteries below. Even with your spacers it seems as if there would be pressure on the case around the terminals that might cause problems over time with road vibration.  No way you could build a rack to support the batteries without touching the lower ones?
