Luckily for me I really got to the bottom of all this mess. You need to do a little more research before making blanket statements, because it has not always been true that the Sun was seen as a male deity and the Moon as a female one. Depending on the location on the Earth and the culture, some have worshipped the Sun as female and the Moon as male.

Also, it's kind of obvious that every "God" is a mere reflection of the person withholding the view. I'd also always make an excuse for "God" and make him "good". Eh, I learned and I actually feel a bit liberated. A lot more than before, anyway.

Until recently, about a year or so, I'd always been a fear mongering fool. I'd always find an excuse to think that "G-d" didn't hate me and just wanted to teach me a lesson in life. That if I didn't fear him and obey his every command, I'd go to hell. That either way, whatever I did, I'd go to hell. That I didn't deserve anything good, and all bad that was thrown at me- I deserved. It appalls me that my family still thinks this way and calls it "love". It's just disgusting.

Atheists blame God & religion for a world of war, hate and injustice but if they know mans desires are evolutionary traits from animals; would it not be 100% natures fault of mankind itself, absent a God with religion just used as a tool within our natural design? Any strong opposing beliefs could cause war and hate, even science vs science. Why do atheist never blame our own human nature if they believe and know all this to be true? can our intelligence not evolve even more above animals? it is true that we and other apes evolve from the same ancestor but we(humanity) have evolved even more than other animals (intellectually) to believe in religion. do you know of any animals who believe in heaven? i personally think that religion is a phase that we need to hurry out of to continue our growth of knowledge and freedom. however religion will not die out for another 100 years at least (my guess) :)

before the separation of church and state religion was used to control simple people and also to generate revenue for those in charge. If the god concept were real I highly doubt any priest would jeopardize his chance of going to heaven just to fullfill sexual desires with young boys. In my opinion, religions just like sects are very complicated & complex. It would be nice to analyze them step by step, starting with "religion" itself before philosophy & science.
On religion: Which one came first?, Mono or Polytheists?. Then we have to separate one aspect from the other (Spiritual or Biological?).
We know that we are here, so therefore we exists in reality time just as well as the space & everything within. We know of time, but we don't know when time started. Think!.
