The Disney Channel used to be so good...they had shows like Walt Disney Presents, original Disney family films like That Darn Cat, Summer Magic and Pollyanna to name a few and a lot of children's specials like Dumbo's Circus and Welcome to Pooh's Corner. The Disney Channel has gone downhill since then- they removed all the classic movies and shows and replaced it with pre-teen shows like Hannah Montana.

Born in 1983 so I was pretty much heavy into all of this great Disney Channel programming as a kid; so many memorable shows too numerous to name. I really felt like crying after putting up with just one minute of the new Disney Channel stuff it's not even funny.

When I was a little girl, my mom used to clean houses for a little while. We were too poor to pay for the Disney channel so when one of the women were out of town she'd take me with her and they had disney. I would sit on this HUGE suede couch and watch this! There are other shows I'd watch but thanks for the memories!

Pensfan: Ever since 1998...Elmo controlled Sesame Street, Spongebob ruled Nick, Pokemon was all over the WB! (now CW), 4Kids was butchering any and everything on what was left of FOX, Disney started bringing in the teenybopper stuff (ex: Zoog Disney [which admittedly is STILL better than the drivel on the channel now]), etc. Before 1998, everything was AWESOME!!!
