  • This is fantastic. Gary Brooker, an incredible talent.

  • @karlmahlmann This version is so hypnotizing...I listen to it almost daily. I def say stunning, brilliant, awesome and can't get any better then this right here.

  • pff

  • @cloudjia well, being 60 myself I enjoyed those wonderfull years... they are not gone, coz there is Gary Brooker (and many others...i.e. Jon Lord or Roger Waters) to remind us that we were and still are young... greetings!

  • a few make musical history... GARY is one of them!!!

  • Gosh, I absolutely love this. Gary, thanks for making me smile with this beauty.

  • This is gotta be the best by Gary and Mr Lee. They all do a phenomenal job with this...kudos gentlemen!

  • is this a cover or was he the original artist?

  • @8jsimone original

  • simply brilliant....end of story.

  • @ablestar88 no, very brilliant!!!! lol

  • Gary you hit this one right on the nose. Very sexy!

  • Unbelievable. I agree that Gary's voice has gotten better with age. This song is one of the best and alwayswill be. My father and I had a dance to this beautiful song at a wedding many yrs ago, and because of this, I now have a beautiful memory of

my Dad to go along with one of my favorite songs. Thank you!

  • Thank you just gets better with age.

  • Thank you just get better with age.

  • I totally agree - he voice is better. I loved the old voice till I heard the more mature voice. It's so beautiful and I cannot get enough of this video. Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting it.

  • The years have not diminished his voice. One of the all time classics. Thanks for the video.

  • @theherd53 His voice got better with time.

  • Even better than the original, as the other commenters have remarked. Very simpatico.

  • I'm a female singer/songwriter from the UK. I was support act for Eric Clapton in Scandinavia when I was based in Denmark. Gary Brooker was on keyboards and vocals in EC's band. They did an amazing version of this song which added an extra dimension. Great song, great memories, great vocals. Unforgettable times.

  • giffcam. what more do you want than that.

  • Beautiful, as usual

  • BRILJANT!!

  • Cool Number Gary!

  • The voice, yes of course is so magnificent, but his piano is also so fantastic!

  • this has to be the best song ever recorded/ sounds better now as did 40 years ago/ if possible/ this man is a legend in his time /

  • That may be the best his voice has ever sounded, and that's saying a lot.

  • One of the best songs of all time!

  • That's what it means to grow old gracefully.. I loved it

  • I saw Procul Harum perform this in 1969 and Gary Brooker's voice is even better.

  • HOly shit!! His voice only gets better, like a good wine really...

  • Gary with saxophone would be just fine. Organ is horrible on this version. If it is Jools Holland he should have stayed home that day.

  • Handsome and charming.

  • The beauty of Gary Brooker's art is incomprehensible as God lives within him in the most profiund way. For all the incredible years of Procol Harum, and Gary Brooker, I for one am glad to have lived to have seen and enjoyed him for all these years.

    Lg

  • o original não se desorigenalisa porque se desoriginalisa se não seria original

  • Strangely sounds better with age. Much more soul....

  • @therealsum0kat it's like the wine........more years=more taste!

  • @therealsum0kat yes....I think you need to have the sadness just the age can give you to sing this song........

  • What a fantastic song and a brilliant Gary Brooker.

I often say to my wife, I´m a man, I never cry - but this almost brings the

    tears to my eyes.

Always been a fan of Procol Harum, but this solo beats EVERYTHING!

  • Notice that's a goodlooking English Man Classic features. England leads the world or didn't you know that?

  • LIKE FINE WINE!!! RIGHT ON !!

  • The best version ever !!!!

  • Inacreditável voz.

Muito cool.... com uma ponta de soul.

Adoro essa música, uma das melhores que a humanidade ja produziu.

  • only 35 people like this?!!

  • Great song Great man Great version

  • 5 may 2000. just after coldplay played 'shiver'

  • amazing, amazing, amazing....stunning version to say the least........his voice, the piano. I cannot listen to this enough. Thank you tons for sharing this.

  • chilling out

  • Pure genius...on so many levels and for so many reasons............

  • This is such an awesome song. And his voice hasn't diminished a lick in my opinion. Back in the day, way back, when the song first aired, John Lennon would pull over whenever it came on the car radio and just listen. Well, I can only imagine that he probably sang along . . .

  • Thanks, very unusual version, I don't think I've heard brooker on awsop with a sax before.

Here we go: AWSoP #101 in my iTunes library!

  • Magistral.

  • thank you for sharing that amazing song.......i had missed it.........and every single time i hear it , i feel a punch in my stomach........wow!

  • There was a point to be made, I guess. And he made it. Shivers.

  • Najpiękniejsza wersja, najpiękniejszej piosenki.

  • Gary's voice is the song-words, thoughts, pictures can never express the feel of this song-from heavan to us

  • Where does the time go???

  • Do you really want to know? With its passage, time gets stored supernaturally on platinum-like discs in an ark-like spiritual container. One day, all of time and history will be unleashed, to be unraveled in a perfectly-constrained format, before the peoples, one by one, who comprise it all. We will watch in stunning, passive silence before the One who made time. Won't it be a magnanimous moment to behold? There's still 'time' to seek Him, to reckon our account settled, before that time comes.

  • @sandydenny411

still feels like its just started

  • The Most

  • absolutely fabulous singer always has been

  • I'm going backwards! Where does all the time go?

  • LOVE his voice!
