Well the legendary ending wasn't really considered "cannon." Which means part of the real storyline, but Johnson escaped halo in a pelican with an ODST and some others. Everything after Halo: CE is in the book "First Strike."

the legendary ending was not cannon, the books are canon, the games themselves were made ALONG WITH the books, as a sort of "halo bible" which the game makers can look to to take fromt the extensive halo universe.

Bungie themselves have said that the ending was not cannon.

all or most of the elites were at halo trying to fight MC there and then the hierarchs was murdered by brutes soon in the chapters/missions in halo so yeah that kinda proves the point.

It is not a computer program that changes appearances. And if you ever modded Halo you would know especially when you change the characters. I made a mod where i replaced the marines with elites and changed the covenant into marines and i killed them. You should really try modding Halo. It is fun. If you have the first Halo on pc try HMT or HHT.

Ive received this suggestion a few times in the past (this is an old video). I actually did try to swap the biped for some Flood models - but in the end they were a little boring to watch (they have no facial scripting to go with the dialogue). I have another video that shows a brute titled "fun with biped swaps/Metropolis".
