In fring, if you use the microhphone then the person can hear u.. but in order for you to hear them u have to unplug the microphone.. because it is not a speaker.. get it? lol And the mic does work with ocarrina but you cant hear it.. :( But it is still a very good mic.

im not sure because i do not have an ipod nano.... but when you plug it in the voice memo screen appears.. and there should be an option of high or low quality recording :)

aww. I doubt the thumb tack will either. man. I wonder what would happen if i put a splitter in and pluged the mic in one side and the headphones in the other. I'm afraid it might fry it or something. man.

Hey i figured out a way this one dude had skype and he had his mic plugged in and went into settings on skype and clicked enable external speaker and when he went to the home screen and went to type something they stayed on. Omg YAY!!!!! :P
