  • When you think about it, it would actually have to use both Bar Code AND Vision Recognition.. because if a monster / card is placed face-down, the card reader would see the face of the card, and therefor would TRY to play the card face-up.. UNLESS you make a protocol for when it reads the face-up side of a card, it instead places it face-down. If you play the card face-up on the field, the back will be facing the scanner.. but it will have the bar code on, so it will be played face-up.

  • well this is just a idea....why dont they do the massive duel system made in the yugioh series 1, then when a card is placed onto the space, a code on the back would activate the memory bank, then show a holographic picrure of the card played, monster cards would just show the monsters

  • Well it's too bad this hologram duel disk is custom-made. It will be BETTER OFF if it was made just like the TV show. But furthermore, don't expect that the price will be cheap. More like $200+

  • I can wait ten years.

  • Hell yea finaly

  • They r making a hologram duel disk that will come out in 2 years I read it in a yugioh magazine

  • @itslaw89 DAMN IT IN 2 YEARS IS TO LONG WE ONLY HAVE ONE YEAR TO LIVE DAMN YOU 2012 YOU ALWAYS RUIN EVERYTHING DX jk

  • @santanamossfan101 we wont die in 2 years thats fake like how we were gonna die in may

  • @itslaw89 i know its joke :P

  • @santanamossfan101 its fake you idot screw that crap.

  • @samboleh you think i dont know that moron thats why i put "jk" at the end moron

  • >.> aren't holograms basicly the same as 3d projections sense technology has not gotten so far why not just convert the image into a 3d image yes u won't beable to see with the naked eye but u will beable to create a proto type liget dual disk

  • Let me give you a tip. If you want to succeed in building a hologram duel disk, please please! take your time on everything that you have. Do not rush. All of these fans, including me have been waiting for something like this ;D we will all support you! (:

  • I got a question. The life points. If the monsters attack us will it hurt us? But if you succeed then that's really great! I'm gonna go back to Yu-Gi-Oh again. How much will it cost to buy a hologram duel disk?

  • @yugialex93 i seen on the oringinal yugioh kaiba had settings on the duel disk so it can maybe idk

  • @dakingisher4uppluno Oh. I just hope that the duel disk will be successful. On top of that, once it is created, we, or the creator of the hologram duel disk can begin the yugioh tournament. Like the battle city finals!

  • @yugialex93 i hope so i wanna see my cards alive speaking of cards what deck are you running

  • @yugialex93 Yea but the thing is I haven't play yugioh in a while, Yet I know how it works. I'm not sure what deck I'm going to run. I'm either gonna use the Yugi's Evolution Deck, the one with Magician of black chaos, or Jaiden, from Yugioh GX, but the thing is, Jaiden's deck monsters depends on each other too much. Still, it is a good deck with good special abilities.

  • wat if there was a number key pad on the duel disk and it used barcode recognition so you used the keypad and then scanned the card e.g. if you want to summon a monster in attack mode you press 1 which is attack mode then scan the monster and on your next turn you want to play a face down defense mode monster on your next turn you click 2 which is face down defense mode and then scanned the card?

  • when will they come out

  • so i can biuld a duel disk that projects monsters now? sorry im lost

  • @ShadowFist237 i lost

  • by the time they create a sophisticated holographic duel disk we will all be old D:.....fuk it i will still play >:D rofl

  • Maybe should of gone with the Arena first, but I love that you went Mobile first!

  • The newest cards coming out can be scanned as shown in the newest wii games and Duel terminals. Could that be used?

  • @Falmoon The ones they make for their games could not be used (unfortunately cause they have all that work into it already). There is no API (interface that I know of) to work with it.

  • @Falmoon thats ehat i was thinking!

  • couldn't you use an overhead projector. Ik that it wouldn't be holographic but it could at least project the card.

  • @KennyGHill absolutely that can be done. It would be very easy to do it, and could even be done with little or no software involved.

  • make us a 3D battle disck?? ^^

  • If you truely get this to work before yugioh starts getting like old, and everyone quits i wil send you money, suppourt you 100% help you in any way i can.. i love yugioh but no one ever likes to play anymore, if this would come true just don't foreget to see my face on tons of tounrments :D

  • why not try to scan the serial numbers in the bottom left corner of the card and have that interfaced with a halographic data base

  • Totally awesome news and i really hope the duel disk project could be completed before yu-gi-oh starts going out of style. If the real hologram duel disk does get completed and ready to use" you would make alot of yu-gi-oh players especially me happy and excited. I wish you good luck with that project and i can't wait to play yu-gi-oh in style with the real hologram duel disk.

  • @SuperSaiyan2NahumKai Thanks for the support!

  • @SuperSaiyan2NahumKai i agree with you!!I love duels! but can you imagine how much it would cost?

  • @XxDarkJohan15xX we'll find out in the next few months or so hopefully.

  • @XxDarkJohan15xX about $300 but its way worth it,not even gunna lie

  • Dude I swear if you do this i freakin love you Lol i will support u man!

  • @AceGamingTv thanks for the support. It may not come quick, but it should come together.

  • @HolocraftVids No prob dude take your time and Good Luck!

  • Why don't you and kungfumaster do it together?

It would take less time less money of both of you.

  • @yuugisama We've actually discussed that and are going to work together. We both have different strengths and they should go well together. It should be an awesome duel disk when finished.

  • ah.. a fellow duel disk maker... nice to see i'm not the only one making a real life duel disk... :)

  • @kungfumaster12 Yeah I've seen most of your vids. Have you decided which camera/scanner to use to read your cards yet?

  • @HolocraftVids not yet.. i'm still working on the hologram part... but i'm thinking of making a flash scanner, it's an idea of mine... i'm just trying to create cheap and easy to make parts for this project.. :)
