I currently live in my van and have lived in vans on/off for 3-4 years now. I simply can't understand how people live in these gigantic mcmansions and are actually happy. Small living is so much more satisfying to me. The only 2 concerns I ever have is gas/food. Food I can sometimes get free (just by living off the land), gas I can't get free (no diesel engine). But when I'm running low on funds I just do some work for a month or so and get back to it :D

I'm living in a suv hyundai santa fe, and I work part time for a chinese restaurant making deliveries with it. They'd never guess that I live in the same vehicle I brought their food to them with haha. Shower at the gym $25/mo, work 2 days/wk. I live in Central Texas. Hot here too but I like to hang out in the woods (outlaw) where I can get cellular signal for internet $40/mo. Kinda fun, and I enjoy cooking over a campfire by the lake. It's a good life, livin free and single.

The only issue about living in Arizona is the heat in the summer. July > Sept can be 105 average temp with the inside heat at 125+ mid afternoon. Good Luck !

where do you get you solar panel and how do you set it up?

@LatinFunkJazz i can't remember where i got it but i bet it's not hard to find. the set up is easy. you scew the panel on the roof and then attach a red and black wire to an rv battery and then continue that wire to an inverter and then connect the inverter to a standard outlet. the instructions on the products make it pretty clear.

Wish it was possible to do this in the UK, theyre quoting me £10,000 a year for van insurance, and theres hardly any land to live off.
