@FunkyJohn1 did you forget we just joined the league last year? We won the Colonial Cup in 06' and came one game short of going back-2-back in 07'. We bailed on the IHL where one team owned the league and won every year. I knew I would catch crap for my comment, but IDC.

The ECHL is a development league. Which means it's there to prepare players for the next level. The guys play as hard and fast as they can, and at least here in Cincinnati, have a great relationship with their fans, and community.

Secondly, what's REALLY sad is, you are taking a video, designated to raise awareness for a NON PROFIT CHARITY, and using it to be negative.

Cyclones: I love all that you do for the city and the kids. Win or Loose!

@stenger41018 I was replying to a someone who takes ECHL hockey way to seriously, like you said it's a development league but let's be honest here almost every guy in the league went undrafted in the NHL and never got signed. And I wasnt being negative again I was pointing out that some people take this too seriously. I support the Cyclones and I'm glad to see they did this for charity, It's just that I'd rather go support Bearcat football or basketball in major college sports than the 'Clones.

But i do agree that it is personal preference I like the 'Clones because they are in Cincinnati and have been for a long time it just that they dont bring as much attention to the city or its citizens/sports fans. Of the teams in the city of Cincinnati I root for is The Bearcats on top and the 'Clones near the bottom but it could be reversed for some it is all personal preference.

@blijen Yet half our players have NHL/AHL 2 way contracts. Before you run you're mouth, do your research. It's not like they have open try outs where anyone can join. These guys are professionals with contracts. They enter the NHL draft, and just because they don't get picked high, don't mean they don't get picked. There isn't enough room in the leagues to send 50 guys to two teams, so the ones who they feel need a little more work go to the ECHL/CHL. Cyclones don't need ban wagon fans like you
