Hah, 14 years old, snagging blue crabs off the rocks at the North Carolina coast. I got the bright idea to try and touch one (thinking I was way faster than an unsuspecting crab). Those things are so ridiculously fast. I barely got my finger on its back and it had completely turned with the big right pincher, snag right on the tip of my index. Finding out from experience, they are not only ridiculous fast, very strong too.

Dude crabs/crayfish can pinch HARD. Ever seen Deadliest Catch? Half those guys have fingertips missing from the giant alaskan crab's they catch. Im not sure what kind of crab this was, but I know from experience that even a Dungenous crab can do some serious damage with its claws.

Caught one in northern Florida the other day fishing, and can attest to how rapid and vicious blue crabs will try to pinch you. They are very fast and hurt like hell.
