um, well subs would come out legally or illegally maybe around a couple months after this movie's release. For a dubbed version it might be longer. Like for Arriety. Which is just now about to be released in the U.S.A

映画はすごく良かったけど、数ヶ所、海と俊が並んで歩いているシ­ーンで、向こう側を歩いている海の方が顔が大きく描かれていると­ころがあるのが、仕上げが雑で残念だった。

I feel that this will definitely show improvement in Goro's directing. Not that Tales of Earthsea wasn't good, because it definitely was. But it just felt like something was missing, but hopefully we'll see it in this one.

This seems so amazing, in SO many ways! The girl's dad get's lost at sea, (I think) and she tries to manage without him, just so intense, and the music is one of my new favorites!

うちの細君に拠れば、「コクリコ坂＝代官坂」なのだそうだ。確か­に、チャリ二人乗りの場面はそのままの面影がある。失業中に散歩­したり、終電過ぎまで飲んで歩いて帰ったり、今はそんな私の「コ­クリコ坂」だが、高校生の頃は。。。あれ、何かあったっけな??­?

題材的に高畑勲監督向きな内容だったが、なかなかどうして、吾郎­さんの演出は２作目にしては上出来だった。父、駿さんっが出した­、海ちゃんの溌剌さが存分に生かされていたと思う。

古き良き昭和３０，４０年代の映画を見ているようだった。

最近のアニメにありがちな、べたべた感もうるささもないのが妙に­新鮮でした。

大ヒットは無理かもしれないがこういう作品はあってよいと思えま­す。

When they heard the Cartier Latin Building would be saved, the joyous students sang a song. That song, if translated literally, named " Dark Blue Waves", implied the tsunami which hit Tohoku area on March 11th. The song was written by Hayao Miyazaki on behalf of this movie, but the original poem was based on Kenji Miyazawa's address to his alma mater, in Iwate prefecture, where the tsunami victims reached thousands.
