I'm sorry, I guess these videos didn't have "sold" marked on them -- his other official sale videos did. He has been sold. I wish you all the best in finding a horse, though!
ive had my mare for almost a year and she still doesnt trust me completely. i was wondering, would teaching her a few tricks gain her trust as well as ensuring she doesnt get bored?
Well-done tricks could certainly help! The secret is to teach them well, just like you would teach anything else -- lots of time and patience, with some treats and lots of reward. :) Tricks have the great advantage of being concrete: instead of training "collection" or "responsiveness," you have a really set goal. That is extremely helpful for both horse and human. Tricks were instrumental in helping Caspian develop a relationship with me, partly because we BOTH had fun. I would say try it!
Thanks again! And let me know if/when you get videos of Wilbur. I know what you mean -- computers can be tricky -- I've certainly had my share of problems trying to upload videos. :) Ah well, it is a good learning experience for me!!
It sounds like you two have a wonderful time! Even if he isn't yours, you sound like you still put so much time and love into him -- that's really neat to see. :)
Yes, definitely let me know when you have videos up of Wilbur, or pictures! He sounds lovely -- Hanoverians are amazing horses. They have such amazing gaits!
Thank you! I taught him a lot of it -- he did know basic lunging and walk/trot/canter when I got him, but it was all pretty rusty. He's been a lot of fun!
Wow!, Your horse is beautiful! Thats so cool how you taught him 2 do all of that, he seems like he is really enjoying it and that he wants 2 please you! :-) How did you teach him 2 do the Spanish walk or is he trained in 1st, 2nd? level dressage?
