  • 4:02 Fire service is ON

  • has the company ever heard of mods?

  • Yay A DOVER!

  • Psychologically challanged DOVER! :O

  • does this thing only BUZZ when it wants to?

  • Aww man, i've never seen a dover in this bad a condition.... I would expect something like this from Schindler or maybe a KONE. But NEVER a Dover....

  • @nospeakamericano97 One of the last ones EVER installed :(

  • @suzzex what time in the video did it stall?

  • Yeah, this thing sucks, but your video of the DOVIS Hydraulic Elevator at 77 Quaker Ridge Road takes the cake for the worst.

  • @ManitobaTransitVids Both elevators (this one and 77) are getting service almost 4x a month. That's plain ridiculous.

  • Gotta love it!

  • Thyssen Dover definitely.

  • @elevatorsonly Yup.

  • @suzzex was that it stalling at 4:40

  • At 0:08, you hear a woman say,"EXCUSE ME!!" (Gibberish) "I ASKED YOU TO TURN THE PAGE!!!!" LOL!!

  • @clarkloveselevators I'm surprised she wasn't yelling at the Dover to work properly!!!

  • Closing the door on 2R was a mistake!

Also I feel sorry for the actual disabled kids who need it! They would be late to classes and man that elevator needs some work! The last inspection was probably done when it was put in! Nice video. What did you think of it?

  • @Technology2412 I think that the elevator has many issues!!!!!

  • @suzzex Nah. Lol.

  • As dieselducy would say, "It's a Dover!".

  • I Know Whats Wrong With The Elevator The Door. On The Rear Side Listen To It.

  • This elevator needs to be modernized...

  • That was a great elevator. I don't see anything wrong with it. :)

  • @georgef551 *hit myself in the head and pretend i did not just read that!*

  • @suzzex

It's FLAWLESS! What could POSSIBLY be wrong with it?!

    (Obviously, this is all scarcasm.)

  • @georgef551 I couldn't tell!!! :P

  • @suzzex

You'd be surprised how many people really CAN'T.

    Sad, huh?

  • @georgef551 :)

  • Looks like the controller partially lost communication with the car, that and the fact that you said the lights dim when the motor runs suggests bad wiring all around, not for sure Dover's fault... but it probably is.

  • @VancouversLocalNerd I heard that the contractors who constructed this building were cheap and terrible.

  • Dover should've stuck with inground on this one.

  • @LittleRockElevators The scary thing is it almost felt inground!!!

  • @suzzex Sometimes its hard to tell if an elevator is inground, holeless or even roped hydraulics. This elevator also acting like a single speed traction.

  • @LittleRockElevators By the sounds of it and my experience with holeless elevators, I am pretty confident to say that this is holeless. I also heard from staff that the soil near the new wing can be unstable.

  • I think the call button fault at the beginning was actually on purpose. If this is hole-less hydraulic, the pistons may have been out of sync. If this happens, the controller switches to a resynchronization mode and stops all normal operation so that the pistons can resync again. During this time, the car will make sudden stops, drops, etc. to get the pistons back in alignment. The only good thing I can say about this lift is how quiet it is, but that is it.

  • @thyssenelevator95 I think your right. This thing still is a piece of shit though, although I still love Dover!

  • @thyssenelevator95 By the way, it ain't that quiet! You can hear this thing moving when your down the hall. Oh and what about the buzzing and the lanterns not working? What is that due to?

  • @suzzex Well it seemed quiet to me...

Anyways, the broken buzzer may be a microprocessor fault, but the unresponsive call button was most likely due to the resync mode that it went into, since it won't take hall calls during that time.

  • @thyssenelevator95 But the buzzer AND the lanterns both worked whenever they wanted to. Is that part of the mode or just because it's a faulty Dover controller?

  • @suzzex Te lantern bit was most likely because of the resync mode. The buzzer is probably a faulty board somewhere, probably in the position indicator driver.

  • This could actually be a holeless hydraulic. Although rare Dover did occasionally make holeless hydraulics and they were prone to re-syncing problems. I filmed an elevator that was behaving very similar to this. No buzz, unresponsive, and made a big smash. The one I'm talking about is holeless and the elevator technician told me that that's why it was making those noises. As for why the buzz disappears I have no idea but it did pretty much the same things you mentioned in the description.

  • @myotismon767 I think your right on this one. It makes total sense. I also heard that Dover STUNK at making holeless hydros.

  • I rode an elevator like this at the Orlando Country Inn & Suites. It was a later dover elevator ( The other elevator in the bank was branded as "Miami", A Dover distributor.

  • @KyFriedPlatypus I hate how Miami just takes Dover over!

  • That is a Thyssen Pump...
