guys its called an incomplete match penalty when u quit a match while ur playing u get an incomplete match penalty next time u finish a match if u look at the side of the screen it will say incomplete match penalty -1500

same happend to me.. i was a gold stripe and i won 7 games in a row... with a good k/d ratio on all the matches... because i were host.. then i started match making and now my rank has gone back to a 2 bar, which sucks... im actually a quality player but ranks on GOW2 doesnt mean anything to anyone now cos of how poop it is.

This isnt a rank, just a flaw in the system.

I ranked up from 2 to 3 stripes, and the game that did it for me was me on my own (as everyone left when the game started) vs 5 locusts on KOTH.

Now, obviously, i didnt win the game, as they always had someone on the hill, but i got the seconn highest score off the 6 of us in the game, as luckly, i had little lag.

2 really bad games of lag, and i got raked back down...

yeah there changing the ranking system in a couple of weeks there are 99 levels and u get experince as u go similar to cod 4 n 5 ..

theres a thing called your true skill. the game predicts who will win the match, and if that team wins the players get a certain amount of true skill, if ur predicted to win and u lose u lose true skill(possibly rank down), but if ur predicted 2 lose and u win then u get more true skill than if u had been predicted win and u win. any questions: msg me

yes there is a new ranking system comin out just search youtube and u can read up on it .. basically it works as experience there are 99 ranks similar to cod 4 or 5

The ranking system has sort of a lag which means you didnt rank down that match...You Probably did a few matches before it just took a lil while to rank down.

if your stuck on a rank and your not supposed to be then its because there trying to give away a minimum amount of ranks at a time and someone was better then you and got the rank up first.
