Chios is a great island if you want peace and tranquility...you do not get huge waves of foreign tourists invading it (one reason being that Chios' big ship owning families do not need nor want large scale tourism in Chios), hence you can go to any of Chios' several beaches and pretty much have it all to yourself...even the busiest beach on the island, Karfas, is never as crowded as other beaches you see on other islands.
