  • Omg stfu with your WUUUUUUUUUU WUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU WUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • Where can I buy one of these?

  • Anywhere I can get one that's not registered Lucasflims?

  • @donaldthescotishtwin Once in a while you'll see one on eBay, but they are almost always of poor quality, unfortunately. Sideshow Collectibles used to make one for about five thousand dollars, but they have been listed as out of stock for over a year.

  • how much would u sell it for if u still have it

  • @JJH4RDY I still have it, but I have no plans to see it. Plus, Lucasfilm would not be too happy about it either.

  • @francovd ok man i understand

  • @14141411444 he made it

  • will this vacuum my room?

  • one day, i'll build a R2D2 myself....i hope.

  • @R3dical444 i'm already working on of my own with my dad

  • Americans...

It was a strike that's all.

What's all the noise about. It's not like there was a free deal at McDonalds.

  • @SqueekyStallion1 They’re bowling for a charity against child abuse. Why shouldn’t they be happy about doing something for the benefit of suffering children everywhere AND have fun with their friends?

  • @JediAnnSolo There's happy then there's sounding like a bunch of drunk cowboys.

    Charity or not.

  • @SqueekyStallion1 I’m sure they don’t care what they sound like, either way.

  • i wish i have R2 too

  • @14141411444 he built it

  • thats it am scraping my toy r2 and making him life size

  • I wish I had a R2

  • ITS LIKWE STAR WARS IN REAL LIFE!!!

  • Wait a minute.....I bought that a few years ago from a toy store its voice commanded i got board of it but its still on top of my shelf with dust setteling on it with all my other starwars things.

  • @EpicSlayer666

The droid in this video is life size, I built it myself and programmed the sound into the sound card from the toy that you refer to. My other videos show more of my life sized droid. -Victor

  • @francovd If were to do the sound card thing when I build my R2, how would I go about doing that with the Interactive R2 card? Is there a tutorial?

  • @millenniumfalsehood Rob Meyer on the astromech (dot) net boards has done some work with the guts of the interactive R2, if you are a member over there, search out his his topics on the board. I personally haven't gutted one of those, I just copied the song from Entertainment Earth's web site. Search for interactive astromech, then click on the picture of the toy, scroll down, and you should find a link to play the song.

  • @EpicSlayer666 ooo can i have it?

  • oh wow we dont even see it

  • omg i want one of those so bad.

  • lol

  • how cute i mean cool cause im a guy

  • @sunflower2362 your comment = stupid i mean Fuckin retarded cause im a guy

Nobody ever said guys saying cute was stupid -_-

  • @sunflower2362 lol it takes a realy man... no wait picture mr T typing this. It takes a realy man to say the cute. if you cant say it then YOUR A PUSSY FOOL

  • Do people ever sell the ones they build? I'm a HUGE r2d2 fan!

  • On very rare occasion they get sold, sometimes on eBay. Sideshow Collectibles is selling one for around $5450 dollars, but it doesn't move, it just lights up and plays sounds.

  • I wish, I could build things like that, :( anyway great videp

  • that song he played DOES sound like the one from the interactive R2. Did you just take it out of that one, and place it into the one you built?

  • Yes, you are correct.

  • i wish i could have one. where do you get those?

  • I built this R2-D2 myself. It took 1 year 10 months to build.

  • 1 year O_O daim

  • @miridany you can get a little one it does the same for $150 look up interactive r2d2

  • I didn't make the toy, I made a life size R2.

  • These are $179 now. You save more money buying these then making one.

  • uhhh.... that toy is only about a foot tall you know...

  • I built it myself. Took about 2 years to build.

  • dude i want to make one and a fully functional c3po

  • C3PO would be impossible since balancing it to stay up and walk wouldnt work.

The center of gravity for humans is quite high, and though we dont realize it we make constant adjustements to our posture to actually stay up, building a robot which would be able to do so is possible, but you would need quite alot of technology to make it work.

Another way is to make really wide and long feet, but that would ruin the looks of the c3po =(

  • aw man i want to make one well at least i could make an r2 d2

  • partan we adjust our posture more because of pain then balance our balance o the foot is sustained in the big toe and the foot itself but small pain that we endure but we dont realize it make change our posture if we didnt do it we wouldnt have skin in our feet at the end of the day

  • Money is of no concern to me. I must have your R2 unit. But you must give him LAZERS first. I want fully functional death lasers!

  • giving R2 lasers the gayest thing ive ever heard!!!

  • where'd you get R2???

  • I built him myself, as a member of the R2 Builders Club

  • Can you build me one?

  • Considering it takes thousands of dollars and a couple of years to build, it's unlikely.

  • just by the sounds and features, was this made from that small interactive r2? just put in a bigger shell?

  • The "Dance Program" sound was "borrowed" from the small interactive R2, but all the electronics inside the big one are unique. My R2 is remote controlled, and after I bowled the strike, I had to run back to grab the transmitter so I could have him move around and to the dance. :-)

  • Is that all you built?

  • R2-D2 is the only prop I've built, R2 has always been my favorite character. I do not have any other props or robots.

  • how did you make r2

  • I'm a member of the R2 Builders group on Yahoo, and on astromech (dot) net. See my build blog at vfranco (dot) blogspot (dot) com

July 2005-May 2007 shows the build of this droid. Events are listed on the right. Needless to say, it's a lot of work to build one of these.

  • Haha, really cool Artooie ;)

  • Huh, after months of inactivity, I wonder why this has gotten a few comments in the last couple days?

-Victor (the guy with the bowling R2-D2)

  • lol, who takes a droid bowling? XD

    kudos, that looked like fun.

  • You must be the life of the party wherever you take him. Great work.

  • how long did it take to make it

  • The project took roughly 1 year, 10 months. I started in July 2005, and finished in May 2007. I worked on it pretty much every weekend and most weeknights. It was like having a second job, only one that costs money instead of paying money.

  • cool! can't wait for a newer model tht he could do more different functions.

  • My Dad Said I Can Take My R2 Bowling So..Er..GOOD VID!!!!!!!1

  • you did not it cause ive seen this same r2 d2 on a store and there alike

  • They Are? Cool

  • cool did u make that ur selff and how come its got interactive r2d2 sound? like the little 1?

  • Yes, I did make this R2 myself. I added the interactive R2-D2 music because I liked it and it gives R2 something to dance to when he is happy.

    -Victor

  • R2 is a good droid.

  • Yes, he is.

    -Victor

  • He did game mode, and dance program too just like interactive R2-D2.
