Don't want to sound like I'm criticizing, but it's such an honor to have a legend like Yoshiki there, he deserved something a bit more organized. It would've helped if some of the interviewers were more professional and prepared. Like giving the audience who don't know Yoshiki a brief summary/intro about his accomplishments and asking questions in a more "thoughtful" and organized manner, also keeping in mind that English isn't his 1st language.
This isn't the first English speaker I have heard pronounce his name like that. I guess they don't know about the silent/muted vowels. It is rather irritating.
It's just the guy who asks questions. He can't even pronounce Yoshiki's name correctly. I feel embarassed just watching this guy stutter things like "how do you feel about your career?". Why didn't they just pick some fans to do the interview. Poor Yoshiki.
LMAO !!! pause it people on exactly 3:31... after she asks the question of how HE GOT INTO x frickin japan... his face is priceless :P its kindof a "wtf?" face :P luv it :P
People have got to read into the question. Strictly speaking, it's I don't think she means in the context of how did you get 'into' the band. She was addressing how you got into X in relation to how it was created, it's foundations, how the sound progressed, etc. Don't forget some people will not be acquainted with X regardless how synomonous with Japanese Music History it is.
such stupid question, how did u get in X? OMG! ITS WAS HIS BAND!... if u dont know that ur not rly a x fan! so your not worth listening it ... go listen some crap ... x is too good for you!
Yoshiki looks and acted so lost, XD That guy interviewing him just kept dragging on and on. Yoshiki looked nervous and kept tugging at his shirt like he wanted to take it off.
Kyo is 31, as for Gackt, he has never mentioned his year of birth (he once said in an interview he was born in the 18th century in France), but apparently he was born in July 1973
If I had random white people in anime costumes yelling random Japanese at me with such bad accents and misuse that I had no idea what they were trying to say for a whole weekend... I'd be pretty (x.<) too, hehehe. He's holding it down.
On another subject, what other groups are considered very goood in Japan. X-J seems to be loved so much. Any other bands to look into. My son likes Metal bands and all kinds of music and he really liked X-Japan. I just found them yesterday. Very sad story about Hide, I read some articles.
If you're looking for your son, then I'd suggest SEX MACHINEGUNS. Despite the name, their songs content is often very silly (for example, one song is cheering on a salaryman to work hard). Onmyouza is fabulous as well. MUCC isn't considered metal (I think, I don't know, I tend to call rock as rock and leave it at that), but they're heavy and very good. A lot of people seem to like Luna Sea as well.
Ah, I see you might think I'm insulting Americans. No, my comment was directed actually at the people below talking about him seeming uncomfortable or (x.<) like. I've gone to Otakon myself many a time, so I am familiar with the atmosphere. I can understand how'd it'd be nerve wracking. And living in Japan right now, it is an uncomfortable thing to have random english yelled at me by people. (^o^)
i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know yoshi really doesn't know, maybe he really doesn't know how to handle this kind of conversation. i hate it too!
I know what you're saying - I noticed the strange body language too - my impression was that he was scared out of his mind, completely shy in front of all these loud americans, and feeling like he doesnt have all that much to say. Perhaps a straight man would clam up in a different way though...
Yoshiki was incredible; and certainly, I think he's preparing to come back and show this generation just what a talent he is. With the news that he will be working with Gackt, I think that it will definitely bring a new wave of people to his fanbase. Yoshiki, X Japan, is so much love!
Yes, I know a lot of people there really didn't know who he was. I myself didn't know much about him at the time. The thing is is that Yoshiki - X Japan - was all before many in this generation. Looking back now, I'm very honored to have seen such a respectable artist. I think his coming was a great opportunity for this younger generation to gain an interest and a knowledge about something that became the foundation for much of what they love.
People at that convention just don't konw him I guess.. Thats a shame... Damn! I hope Yoshi would make a mark at the music industry again like what he did in X Japan before!
This man is a musical genious. An artist that not many can compare to. I would have expected the crowd to go mad once he stepped into the place, but all he got was a couple of half-assed claps and feeble hollers. Its so sad, I really hope his knew project takes off in the states, then people will really learn to appriciate his talent.
What a bunch of boring people. The crowd, the interviewers. It really feels like from watching this video that half the people in the place don't even know who this man is, or what he has done and accomplished. The only person that seemed like he had any sense was the dark skinned fellow sitting next to the Violet UK girl.
I think there were not many people here because we were all in line for his autograph at the time this interview was being done. I mean we were there for hours lol
Man he was so nice, we met him at otakon and my drummer, guitarist and myself gave him our demo cd. He was so cool, we got to videotape the whole thing and my drummer was japanese and was speaking to yoshiki in japanese so the otakon staff asked him to move it along cause yoshiki kept wanting to speak to us lol
I think he's nervous as all hell... he's friggen surounded by interviewers O.o;; and outside of the interviewers is a bunch of cosplaying fans hahahahahaha... well at least I'd be freaked out heh... and chibikitty I agree with you O.o;; they should have done a bit of research O.o;; he lives in L fricken A
I'm not sure if my other post went through.... buuut anyways... yes I heard YOU ask how he liked living in LA, I think chibikitty and I are refearing to a different incident... anyways it was all in all a good interview and I enjoyed watching it. Everyone had intelligent relavent (sp?) questions.
Ok, ok. My apologies. I was just afraid people were denouncing the wole interview because Jason made that slip. I'm really happy you enjoyed it, and I hope we continue to conduct interviews that people sill enjoy. But I will apologise for the slip on Jason's behalf.
Well all i can say is that i'm soooooo jelous, if only i had the oportunity to was there, then didn't matter to me how many hours i have to be waiting to can see him, ive been wating for him many years and im still wait for that day
I absolutely hate that photographer to guts. He was buttng in front of my friend and I when we were lining up outside of the building to get into the convention center for Yoshiki's autograph. And he doesn't have to wait in line for Yoshiki's autograph, unlike the rest of the fans, such as me. My friend and I have to wait 8 hours for Yoshiki's autograph, from 6am to 2pm. He disgusts me. > < Hate him, hate him.
It's understandable to be upset and frustrated seeing you waited in line for such a long period of time, trust me I understand. I stood in line for 20+ hours for Diru's first US concert just to be front row. But it is unnecessary to make such rude remarks and hate people for such an immature reason on top of attempting to tarnish my reputation. You see, I was hired to be a press photographer to record the events of the convention.
With that in mind, there comes special privileges such as a press pass. The press pass is used in many ways to acquire the work they need to submit to their client, such as press seating's at certain events and such. Although that doesn't give press the right to do anything they please. As for me entering the building before everyone, I was simply attempting to set up my equipment early.
I was NOT trying to rush into the convention to get in line for Yoshiki's autograph because I was hired to be at the Tainted Reality and Iron Otaku booth an hour BEFORE Yoshiki was giving autographs at his autograph session, therefore I wouldn't even have made it on the line for Yoshiki's autograph. Please do not jump to assumptions if you don't completely understand all the facts. Thanks.

There are socially a lot of childish people of the animated cartoon fan of Japan. Most is NEET or stupid students.
It is considerably a party of mood bad
