  • it doesn't matter which team your a fan of, or which skin color, if Griffey isn't in your top 5 players of all time , THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BASEBALL

  • Class act all the way. Sweetest swing ever...

If he could have stayed healthier he would have been THE best player of all time.

  • My favorite player ever. I wish he would have played for the Braves though.

  • my dad loves kgj

  • powtyface, I'm guessing they meant his first at-bat on RETURNING to Seattle

  • This is why I love baseball.

  • this is not his first at bat with the mariners.

  • I don't know anybody who dislikes Ken Griffey Jr. He's just a total class act. Never showed people up. Always gave credit to the team, never himself. He was one of the greatest hitters of all time. He had the best looking swing of any player. He played great defensively. Easily my favorite player of all time and I'm not even a Mariners fan.

  • oh yep i was there too i was like 2 and now im almost 17. man was that the good old times. man makes me want to cry. my favorite player. man i hate steroids. if it werent for barry bonds and his steroids griffey would try to get the record by staying in the league. and also if griffey didnt have all those injuries he would have 800 homeruns. for sure. lets go man.

  • Its his first at bat and hit since he came back

  • I would love to see Jr. contact Tim Grover and try to rededicate himself to the game again. If he can lose a few pounds and regain his bat speed, his swing is still as pure as it ever was!!!! Would be awesome to see him back in shape and on top!

  • The best there was and the best there ever will be.

  • @LJSJIUJITSU eh not really

  • fuckin epic, im still sooooo glad i was there in person at the kingdome when i saw him score that winning run vs the yankees in 95

  • im pretty young so i never knew Jr in his prime but in a time where most of the stars use steriods, Griffey was always clean and a great role model, im glad to see that he gets to end his career in the same town it began in

  • I'm a die hard angels fan but junior has been my favorite player since I saw him beat my angels at Anaheim stadium in 1991 when he and his dad hit back to back homeruns in the 9th inning. I was mad but I loved his batting stance and swing. Greatest player of my generation

  • agreed with everything you just said. and i too am a huge angels fan.

  • @ClipperQuik42 ggreatest player of any generation

  • I was sitting in the fourth row back right behind home base in 1996 when Griff was up to bat. He did a practice swing and stopped. Looked back at our area with a funny look on his face. Held onto his wrist. He had broken a small bone in his wrist. It snapped when he took a small swing. It didn't look like much, but the look on his face told us something was definately wrong.

We love him here in the NW. Glad he is back.

  • When he broke his wrist swings? I believe it was against Baltimore. I was there too.

  • guys are still scared as shit to pitch to Jr. all he ever sees is junk 'cuz there's no one protecting him in Seattle's lineup. if the M's don't bring you back next season and you wanna keep playing, come to Oakland, Griffey! anybody's better than that bum Giambi.

  • theres no god damn way his on base percentage is 900!!

    you stupid cock!

  • lol obviously, the dude, dunno what he was talking bout, maybe it was during srping training or something? i dunno.....

  • Chills just ran over my whole body...We love The Kid here in the Northwest.

Check out my basketball highlight videos.

  • what's not to like about junior... keep swinging kid!

  • lol this is classic jr..........not what he used to be but we still love him

  • Class act. Everyone loves Junior!

  • filthy

  • wow when Griffey got up to bat it felt like a playoff game it was great to see him get a base hit

  • he is just what the M's needed

  • THE KID IS BACK ! !

  • ha ha. I wouldn't call him a kid anymore. he's around 40 now. lol.
