The computer got pissed off towards the end, that's why it didn't answer. It felt it was being taken advantage of. hahahahaha. Just kidding. That looks pretty cool
I love the concept of "smart homes" but, your computers voice software sounds horrid and without personality. You could update your x-10 software with HAL2000. I unfortunately don't have a smarthome (this week), but am messing with Hal's AI interface. You can feed HAL facts, jokes and information that he can recite to you when he finds it appropriate. He also responds differently. Instead of with the same "yes master."
any chance you could post the actual x10 software you used for this? There are many options out there and the X10 production website is about the biggest cluster fuck of uniformative information and links ever. Also, is there a special mic hardware you can buy to accept the commands or do you have to wire a mic directly to the computer?
Oh my goodness... it's hilarious how it says "Yes maaastur" hehehe. Pretty cool video! What program are you running the home automation on? And what tech are you using for the outlets? I assume it must be one of the RF based ones? Or is it electric grid signaling?
ThX for sharing ur video wid me. Its pretty cool! Couple of problems though. I have a win mobile6 phone wid voice command on it and my wife hates the machine voice. In this case I can promise you she will hate "yes master", I would prefer if the computer just beeps to acknowledge. Also, I wud definitely explore the voice command, but u must have seen in my video that I am an immigrant with an accent and I have trouble voice recognition recognizing half my commands :(
1:42 The computers like "do it yourself as*h*le."
