  • I dont really like this version very much. The synth in the actual version is so good, i like the more chill sound of the released version

  • after :60 it's not as good and i can see why it's not there.

  • I think I solved part of the mystery of this song. Go to graemenorgate com (He was one of the composers, but left Rare before PD was completed to join Free Radical Design.)

Download and listen to Inner Earth at the bottom of the page. He describes it a being the basis for the Timesplitters 1 Spaceship tune, but you can hear a lot of the elements of this song too. Even has the same creepy alien sound effects.

Or...maybe I just added to the mystery?

  • *swoon* this games the shit <3

  • I kinda like this version more. They were both pretty awesome, but this would have been my choice.

  • This one is more fast paced than the one in the game. I don't know which one I like more, though.

  • great song, but it doesn't seem to fit the atmosphere of "Deep Sea: Nullify Threat", as well as the final version.

  • @blaster00000

It could have have been the song when the place self-destructs. :P

  • this sounds kind of like one of those aero fighter arcade game levels. the ones with the plane you move back and forth kinda games

  • The Jungle Level (007 Goldeneye) of the Perfect Dark world.

  • Feels very heroic and such. Sounds kinda like the final dungeon or battle of an RPG in my opinion.

  • I downloaded somewhere an OST of this game, that has game music and this song too, naming it like a remix(?) and it also has the music that plays in the cinematics!

  • Wasn't there a really fucking creepy beta version of the player death music? You shoudl upload that.

  • I could have sworn once when I was little, I heard this music when I played the level. Could my game have possibly glitched into this audio track? O_o Or is it just my imagination...

  • @IidoTheFox

Mmmhhh, must be the beginning of the song that's the same from the one in the final version of the game... that's my guess, at least

  • @ViciousOS Nah it just seems like I remember this song. When I heard it I remembered when I played it as a kid and I remember hearing this once, then never again...I remember being confused as to why the cool music wasn't playing on all the times I played the level afterwords lol.

When I heard this on here it just sparked that memory.

  • @IidoTheFox

Ooh, it might be a rare glitch, then. Never happened to me :( xD

  • I would have loved to hear this while playing this level. It would have given a more fitting sense of pride once the level was over.

  • @musikTECH How do you get the song outta the game in perfect quality???

  • @TheVindicareassassin For this Track? i had a friend help me search for this track over the internet. Was a hard find.

  • Thank God,they used the other version!

  • It's really great, they shoulded use it.

  • Omfg i never played any beta of goldeneye or perfect dark but i would actually give everything i own just to get my 64 back and a beta version of this... :( It's impossible to find nowadays..

  • Thanks for uploading this. It doesn't fit in right with this level though.

  • When the music starts changing it sounds a little bit like something from Mass Effect.

  • @musikTECH

yes its actually possible to listen this track via gameshark. The tune is still on the cartridge

  • if you're wondering where this is from, it's the music they had in the trailer, i have no clue why they included it in the actual game though

  • This music feels very climactic. They should have kept it in to make the level seem like the last level.

  • Not mysterious enough, glad they made the change to the quieter music they have now.

  • nice very nice yeaaaaaaaaaaah

  • musikTECH !!

Have you ripped the music "Missing Unknown" where the completion screen is grey, after being abducted by the Skedar after the Carrington Defense level ? It totally put me in a trance..just 0.o

  • I'd like to see this in PD XBLA.

  • May not go with the level, but still a great piece :)

  • The track they went with in the final version is much better

  • this music don't fit right in the Deep Sea map.

  • trust me it does fit in deep sea.not the current way its at but the beta virsion.this map is the most changed in any solo mission.and when you see it or when you all see it you will understand what i mean.

  • how was it hard to find in the game. it started right when the mission did with elvis and the cloaked guards

  • Sigh...This was the beta music for the mission. It wasn't in the game. It was hidden in the code. It had to be found. That's how it was hard.

  • @Airealite

every time i play that mission, i can hear the music. so it is included in the game, listen closely and maybe you'll hear it

  • This video, are you listening to the first maybe ten seconds? It's not the same song. It quickly changes into a totally different song. I have the game, so I know what the game's chosen song actually sounds like. This video's song sounds nothing like it. Do you have mental disabilities?

  • @Airealite

hey, my brother was on my name so i have no idea whats goin on. it seems like he pissed off another person. i don't know what he is talking about, because the music is not the same. sorry for my idiot brother

  • Whatever you say.

  • @Airealite

we both share the same account so people can;t keep track of who is saying what.

  • Sounds like DK, doesn't go with the game IMO.

  • after 2:38 it sounds like Starfox 64

  • Grant Kirkhope is the John Williams of Video game composers!

  • Comment removed

  • this is awsome!! (but the begining is scary) great find!!

  • get the USF soundtrack extract from a website (don't remember which one)

use the 64th note plugin for winamp to play the files.

the soundtrack pack i have has this song in it

  • Is this the way that you can play this song in the fame itself? It's kinda confusing

  • No, this way is for playing it on your computer.

Maybe GameShark codes exist in order to play that song in the game.

  • lol i heard this in a pd mysteries website a few days ago. it would´ve rocked on multiplayer and i hope they include it in the xbox arcade version

  • This song is in the E3 demo...

... along with other songs that were never found...

  • I like the one in the final version. This seems good for another level, maybe a Pelagic II X.

  • 1,337th View.

  • Sounds like it'd more likely be in DK64 or Goldeneye

  • I think I'll download an mp3 and play this with the new fallout dlc, mothership zeta :D

  • This is a good song, but it kind of doesn't fit with the rest of the music from the game. Maybe that's why Rareware chose not to include it.

  • the one from 1:37 sounds like from tes 1 or other old rpgs, the rest fit in the game good

  • Reminds me of the Crash Site for some reason... Mixed with som Stratovarius lolololol

Love this track, better than the actual Deep Sea. Deep Sea X is alright but this one should have been the regular deep sea.

  • I thought I was the only one who's fascinated by pd's game music and was a geek o_o but no theres a whole comunity!! Awesome :)

  • WOW!!! I remember listening to this music while back before they released the game.

  • you missed at least one song but too listerning (playlist)

  • I prefer this one, rather than the final one..i cant believe they actually made this!

  • this one is deffinately better than the one in the final make.

  • dude i didnt know this existed. i absolutely love the music from perfect dark. where did u find this?

  • i found it by hacking the game to hear all tracks in the main menu (i used a rom)

  • you didn't just go to combat sim and select the song? twas what I did. =D

  • Sounds cool, yet creepy.

  • Sorry about the double post QQ

BTW, this song is on one of the trailers. Thought ya would like to know.

  • It's too actiony for Deep Sea. Maybe it's just me but it doesn't fit the level. No wonder they changed it. Although if they used this for something like Carrington Institute Defense when the BETA beat kicks in, it would probably suit it. Although the music is pretty good overall.

  • I love you!

  • I love you!

  • ok lol :D
