The Sims 3 Gameplay (mac)

Hi I was just wondering if your game was up to date? I had the sims 3 running on my MacBook air and I updated it and then when I started the game it would not load up the town. Does your game go all the way through the town loading screen without pausing about an inch in of loading? Or should I not have updated my game? Also does anyone know how to uninstall the download manager on a Mac

@Conorino97 Sorry I no longer have a mac. Usually you might have to reinstall everything...(just backup your files on documents) Reinstall the game, update it and try again. It might also be you don't have an original copy of the game... There is no way of uninstalling the download manager. You need it to start the game

@majormom357 I'm pretty sure u can play it in any intel mac. Any iMac is most likely able to play the sims 3.

@mattnanokid I play on my 2008 MacBook Pro. It doesn't run that smoothly, but considering it's only a laptop running the base game along with every expansion except Fast Lane Stuff, it runs really well.

Its the same as sims 2, in the sense that alot of the stuff you do is similar. Ofcourse they added more building options,etc so it migh seem hard.

I guess It depends on your skills with games.

@TheLuckAndLove Its an Ati Radeon HD 2600 Pro, i don't remember exactly what the graphics were i haven't played the game for some time now. But they were probably on the High Settings.

@jorgex2000 my sims3packs wont install.. some objects i need an EP which is WA which I lost. i was trying to get my packages CC in but it wasn't working and then i fixed it, and now i cant install all my sims3packs.. i transfered all my CC to my Mac because I just got it. when i click install, it the borders gets all lighter, and then the install window bar is not even increasing. and now when i click play, it just stays with the plumbob and the blue backgrouND..

@BlueprintLuvv That's odd, sorry but i don't know how to fix that. All i can say is undo everything you did before you started modifying folders,etc.

@jorgex2000 well, I got them working, but the thing is, when I'm in the Sims 3 Loading Background, it loads almost a half way, and stays like that for some reason.. And that happens too when I install the sims3packs.

@jorgex2000 Actually, nevermind.. Since the new updates changed the method of putting Mods in the game has changed, I find it a little easier and fast. Now, you just put the Mods in The Sims 3 (In the Documents), put the Resource.cfg in the Mods Folder, and then add a Packages and DCCache folder. But, the thing is, I just don't seem my CC installed in the game, I don't see any hair I've downloaded. But,the sims3packs install fine now.

No , there are not expansion packs for sims 3 yet , i was saying that the game could be alot funner with expansion packs. Just get the game is pretty fun .

If you have played the sims before then youll find it easy. But i have to tell you that the game needs expansion packs for me i get bored sometimes after 3 hours of gameplay while when i played sims 2 i didnt. But the game is definately good just needs expansion packs like college,etc
