@TomFromJersey The song is I'm down by the beatles, if you hear the part where it says "How can you laugh" thats ripped straight from the beatles record.
Like BONGHITT says There was a Few different CDS floatin around of the Demos for this LISCENESED To ILL ~~~ I had them in 1988 on Tape & heard NO SLEEP TILL Brooklyn in 1986 different Version
You can hear the spirit of "Licensed to Ill" on this track. I guarantee, if it was ever released it would be a hit, 20+ years after the fact.
The funny thing is, I didn't know this track existed, or the The Bratles track existed, and I consider myself a Beastie Boys fanatic. I like coming across jems like these.
@oldschoolhunter How could you have played this song when it was never released, and no, you couldn't have had a bootleg. Sorry, I think you'e a liar.
@Khultan hey theres this beasties album called original ill ,its lisensed to ill but with a couple of diff tracks an a diff version of fight for youre right..this tracks on it so he mightve heard it on that album huh??
One of the first things I remember when I first listen to the beastie boys was, how awesome The king adrock's voice sounded. It's was so funny and badass. That was during the license to ill era though. I want this song!
Oh, well, that's what I heard was the reason why the release was blocked. It did get played on college radio a few times back in its day, here in NYC anyway, so it must've made it at least to the b-side of a promo 12" (probably The New Style).
The Beastie Boys did get the rights to sample the Beatles on Paul's Boutique. I think they're the only people to ever get permission to sample the Beatles. I read somewhere that they knew Yoko Ono and she used her pull to get them permission. But they were already well known at the time, so I guess it was easier than at the time of LTI.
Jesus....How do people find these joints? I'm a massive Beastie Boys fan for 20 years now and haven't been able to find this. Thank you man. Seriously. And thank god for youtube!!!!
This song must have been recorded during the "Licensed To Ill" sessions.

Michael Jackson owned the Beatles
Publishing & the ability to license the sample needed for "I'm Down". MJ denied Def Jam the license since Hip Hop wasn't as respected in '86.

Why weren't they allowed the beatles for this song but they were for the sounds of science?
