  • Anyone of you. Go out, search any nice ticking 250 cc bike, wether it's your grandma's 1972 GT supersport 2 stroke or a 2009 city chopper DOHC...

    The true point of all this technology we have at our dispense is to enjoy it, the more the better. And when you at the end of modding your whateverthefuck 250 cc for exemple from a N/A to a T/C turn the key and take it for the final spin, you will smile, you will for a very short moment feel like your in paradise because you created something. FUN!!!!

  • @jspot60 they all have a power-band, just that 4-strokes have a very coarse long powerband, where as 2-strokes have a short aggressive power-band (depending on there setup)

  • Looks like turbo lag makes it hard to keep wheelies going - as soon as you come off the throttle you loose your boost and when you want it back to bring it back up its gone... Very nice engineering though, but I would prefer more cc's; there is no substitute for cubes. You might get better wheelies keeping the throttle opening steady and using rear brake to adjust height of the front. Good luck.

  • This is right up there on my bad ass bike mod list, but 56hp out of a 250cc that Id like to see a dyno run of.

    Turbo'd drz 400 is only producing around 60.

  • @420bin thats because drz's are not derived from race engines a wr 250 engine is a down engineered version of a b56 engine that they use in the yzf 250 mx bikes it just makes them more road friendly and smoother power delivery a drz 400 is a heap of junk my husaberg fc 600 would leave gsxr 600's standing from the lights up to 85-90 ish that is a bike worth playing with not a shitty drz

  • Bike has over 2yrs of turbo use now and still going strong. Current power level is 56whp. I think as long as you respect it, the engine will survive for a long time. Now, getting out on the hwy and holding it pinned for a long period of time would most likely end up badly. I've raced a few buddies on larger streetbikes to 100mph several times but that takes less than 20seconds.

  • @maryguk The kits sell for 2000.00-2200 depending on what option you choose. Either option is a complete bolt on kit with all turbo components,electronics, instruction manual and a base map to get the bike going. It takes 3-5hrs to install. I do have one customer testing a ceramic heat coating on the header, turbine housing and exhaust outlet for me. If this product works out I will also offer that as an option for an additonal fee to be determined. Shipping is free in the contiguous US

  • You could try ebay, but chances are you won't be getting quality.

    If you want a good quality turbo but small, go for a used diesel turbo. Cheap, small and reliable.

  • Looks like its got a fair bit more than a 450, power on a wr450 wouldnt come in that fast unless it was also turbo. Good road bike, be useless in the dirt tho with the sort of power band it has

  • B/c goofball, depending on where you R titling the kick only, carb, 5speed Yami 450 could not be possible.. You'll rebuild the 450 prolly 10x to the Wr's 1, the Wr has 26k mile valves and 30 + 75% is 52.5 hp. Yeah, it will be expensive, but it will be light, reliable and street legal. It's not a hard hit like NOS and you won't have to have it recharged after using it either

  • Actually... A honda 450r weighs in at around 230 pounds... Yamaha specifies on their website that the wrx 250 x weighs in at 300 pounds.. That's as much as my ktm 625 supermoto.

    why buy a 300 pound 250, when you can have a 300 pound 625, with better brakes and components? (625 smc Ktm)...

  • I think its great that people are coming up with turbo kits for bikes, but dude seriously grow some dam balls and make a good video. I hate when people have such bad ass toys and than have these ridiculous videos. My five year old cousin could do a better wheelie than that. Nice work on the kit though, I think one is needed for the bigger bikes, such as 450's and 530's as well.

  • It maybe adds 8lbs to the bike. Power went from 25whp to 50whp. I'd say that's worth it!
