I have a second gen iPod touch and this app does not work without the mic. Why? You siad it would sound automatically. Also, how are you supposed to play open position notes on this thing?

looks kool.. BUT how would you play a C or G on an iPod Touch. you say that all you need to play with a touch is to press a button... but the C and G are all valves released, how would that work?

They're the same fingerings. The only difference would be is it would be lower. Just use the trumpet one. Sheesh.

First off, the audio on this video is about 20db too low. Be wise, normalize! Second, when he's demonstrating the instrument, we can't hear the trumpet sounds! Having to raise and lower the iPhone to change registers by raising and lowering the iPhone is really impractical with a mini plug hanging out the back also!

try it with headphones, it should be better. also if you've got a first gen iphone, it's best with a headset, since the external mic causes the rest of the soundsystem to downsample.

with the itouch, you just tap, no blowing. so you don't get control over velocity, but at least you can use it. :)

yes! just remember to plug in the headphones before starting the app, and blow into the mic on the headeset.
