  • great work

  • Beautiful work guys. Would love to learn how to do work like you guys do.

  • can this fire cannonballs, or is it just a prop?

  • hiow often does this kind of work ever happen?

  • I love to work in this job, i'm also a smith im gold/silver smith but sometimes i make some fun with mading daggers and knives i hope one day i could make a small medieval hand gun, nice work guys!

  • I´ve seen no forgeweld, is it riveted together in 2:50 ?

  • @maddoc222 No its welded - you can see him do it in the movie !

  • @maddoc222 It looks to me like the piece that forms the muzzle is just another big ring put on like the others. Which appear to be put on hot and allowed to shrink to fit

  • this would take about 30 min in modern day =) interchangerble parts, just put them and glue them together tadha =) TY

  • Rigtigt god film. Sjovt at se to smede lave en tro kopi af en kanon fra middelalderen på den hårde måde. ingen snyd eller små triks.

  • @vem2311

Nice canon! but i make the canon on a other way but this are medieval canons and my canons are from a dutch ship. the old batavia from the East indiesh Companie

  • Und was kostet so eine Schönheit dan ???

  • thats a lot of work. Why didn't they cast it from one piece ?

  • Because the make a copy of a medieval one !

  • @vem2311

    it's glorious work.

they didn't cast/melt and pour in one piece in medieval times?

i remember bronze canons were cast.

  • They did cast in bronze also - the Loshult gun ie is made in bronze and considered the oldest canon in the world

  • @Ibringthetruth1 Bronze cast guns are more Renaissance than Middle Ages.

  • Is that a breech loader? How does the breach work? Do You have any videos of shooting the cannon? I am a cannon maker also. Check out " proof testing a whitworth cannon" thats me. You have inspired my next project

  • This reminds of the medieval stereotyped blacksmith

  • I soooo want one of those!

If I had two of them mounted on my front lawn I wonder if it'd keep burglars away?

  • How did they make the thin iron cylinder they started with?

    :(

  • you're the gods of all blacksmiths!!!

  • must have taken years to develop these smith-skills, looks easier than it is. very nice vid:)

  • Awesome!

Nothing like it on this earth.

    Keep the hammers swinging!

  • W O W!! amazing !

  • You're just crazy guys !

I hope traveling to Danmark to see you working (-:

Have you tryed to make a shot ?
