Some keep em on sand, thats what i did myself for some time, untill my male got impacted. So i switched to newspaper, havent had any problems since :)

You could call him geico, some people mistake my Green Anoles for geckos which they mistakenly call geico due to the insurance commercial.

Looks great! Sand should be fine,but when you feed him its a good idea to put the insects in a dish so he wont get a mouth full of sand.Nice looking setup! 5*
