99 is the ones Jesus has within His fold, watching them like a shepard would a flock of sheep. Jesus would leave those 99 for a while to get the one who has strayed. That is how much He loves all of us!

Jesus told a story of a shepherd who has 100 sheep, and when 1 get's lost, he leaves the 99 to go find the 1 and bring it back to the flock.

I'd heard of the group, but not heard their music, this is brilliant.

The song is based on Jesus Parable of The Shepherd, who leaves his 99 other sheep grazing to look for the one that went astray. And the joy in finding that one sheep, brought about a feast in celebration.

So as the shepherd rejoices over the found sheep, our Lord Jesus rejoices over every sinner who repents and comes back to him.
