I am not surprised to find Pola Negri singing TANGO.

She and Rudolph Valentino were lovers in 1926. She

spoke in her biography of dancing the tango LA CUMPARSITA with Valentino. I wonder if she´s singing

about Valentino in this tango.

Very interesting remark. My idea is a bit different; the song which - by the way of expression of lyrics - may be in her thoughts devoted to Valentino is a tango-chante recorded a year earlier, "Mein Herz hat Heimeweh nach deiner Liebe" which I just LOVE and intend to present here - in future.

By the way: I am going to present here a Polish version of 'Mein Idishe Momme', next week.
