I signed up for motorcycle basic training and the school recommended this video. It's a nice, clear explanation and I don't think it matters that the presenter is not a professional teacher.
When I rode a dirt bike, I often had trouble finding neutral so ended up just putting the clutch in and killing the engine when I wanted to stop for good
@TimpBizkit that's good riding habits actually. I hardly ever put the bike in neutral when I'm stopping for good. I usually leave it in gear, pull the clutch in until I'm stopped, and then turn off the bike. Keeping the bike in gear with it's off serves as an e-brake for our bikes :)
Hei .. Bro. I'm just got the answer from ur videos that. How the gear shifting process goin on and also get to know to find out when come to forgot about the current gear level... It's awesome .... I'm get full confident when watched ur videos.... Thanks bro.... I'll get to ninja 250 in a month... I feel really confident on the road .... When I learn from Tis video.... Hands,.....offs bro
Yeah, out of all the other shifting videos this one is the best. I think it would be cool to do another half of the video where you explain the relationship between clutch and throttle though, that would also be helpful for beginners such as myself.
@TheRanalAper Great, I'll definitely look to putting together a video about the clutch and throttle relationship! :) I didn't know how receptive this video would be when I first made it. Seeing at it seems to help a lot of you, I'll try to make more about the basics of riding!
Hey I plan on getting a ninja 250r as my first bike in about 4 months and I have been going threw alot ov videos and this one relly helped me out bc most other videos arnt explaning nutural in detale and I couldent clearly see the video but ur explanation and ur shoe movements (lol) relly helped out thx
@AngelusFromHell By up-scaling, I assume you mean when going from, say, 2-3-4-5, etc? I sometimes use the clutch for this and sometimes don't. But for those who are not aware, it IS possible to shift up without engaging the clutch. Simply shift gears when you roll off the throttle, it may be jerky at first but after practice, you'll notice that you can shift up smoothly without clutching in.
Good video jhu. You gave a good explanation on how to find neutral unlike other videos. But could you tell me about the throttel control between gear shifting when tou get the chance. Thanks man.
This video helped me alot more then the other ones i watched. Ive had a manual camaro for a year now and i was wanting to get a bike and i wasnt really sure on how to actually shift the bike. This video was very instructional though. thanks.
Thanks, I'm glad it helped you out! Give me a PM on other topics you may want help with so that I can get some ideas and perhaps make a short clip on the topic!

Do you use clutch on up-scaling gears?
