Reg won an international singing competition beating not just professional song artists from Asia but also from NZ&Australia. Some of her concerts were also recognized in Asia. She's also a recipient of superlative praises from other international artists. Being US based doesn't mean you are already world class.

@archie01acer Firstly, Jaya charted better than Charice and for much longer so that's not really a measure of success. Secondly, Charice is just a novelty act - the fact that she's well known means nothing. That she's being compared to the other three singers is remarkable. Aside from her novelty value, she's not really all that great. She's quite competent and she hits high notes - but that's all. A lot of karaoke singers can do that. She's young, though so she can still develop.

Charice now has a chance to do that because of some bigwigs helping her but she doesn't sell that much except the two Gold certifications from Japan and Thailand which is also a part of Asia. It's funny that you are belittling the Asian Market when in fact, Charice's commercial success is also limited in the said Region, Japan in particular.

@archie01acer Firstly, Jaya charted better than Charice and for much longer so that's not really a measure of success. Secondly, Charice is just a novelty act - the fact that she's well known means nothing. That she's being compared to the other three singers is remarkable. Aside from her novelty value, she's not really all that great. She's quite competent and she hits high notes - but that's all. A lot of karaoke singers can do that. She's young, though so she can still develop.

Filipinos here are so funny especially those who support charice and regine. Charice is a newbie to be compared to Leah and regine and guys let us accept the fact, when charice was still in the philippines, she was not given enough attention and Filipino audience was just ignoring her, right? But look at the effect of Holywood to us, we are reliving to our sense of Colonial Mentality and crab mentality, these destroy our credibility to other race, our support to our own singers is fragmented

Take for example Australia and Canada they have numerous STARS sa Hollywood pero they dont brag about itt.kasi in the first place it has nothing to do about their lives, pag ba kumanta si CHARICE at nag ka concert sya ng sarili or show nyang sarili baba ba ang dolyar? we regine fans were provoked to say something kasi iba na ang labanan at siraan. at hindi ibig sabihin na como sikat e magaling na.. take britney Spears as example,

@dasher264 kung individual excellence ang pag-uusapan. Lea and Regine pa rin. Kasi nakakuha talaga sila ng mga awards bilang performer. Si Lea bilang broadway artists at si regine nanalo ng grand prize sa Asia-Pacific singing competition at 2MTV Asia Fave artist (phils). World class din si charice pero di pa solid ang presence niya sa international scene. si lea at regine, kahit di na ganun kavisible sa foreign shows, nirerespeto pa rin ng ibang music artists here and abroad. Like ko silang 3.

wish ko lang magkaroon na rin tayo ng parehas na klase ng mga sound system na gnagamit sa amerika para magkaalaman na kung cno tlaga may magandang boses at hndi yung napepeke dahil sa mas sophisticated na mga instrument ang gamit sa pagkanta..... di nyo ba pansin yun iba ang dating ng sound at boses ni charice pag sa amerika sya kumakanta kesa pag dito sya sa pinas parang ordinaryo lang....sobrang nireretoke lalo na pag recorded ung song nya....

Lea is off the league, shes of diff level while sarah is off the hook coz she cant sustain the level of intesity Charice and Regine could produce specially live performances. Genre-wise and stage presence I'll chose Charice since she can do any kind of song.

I go for Charice, Lea, and Regine.All of them have self confidence while singing. As for Sarah, though she can really sing, pero hirap na hirap siyang tingnan hitting the high notes.

@2aiz I agree with you 200%, considering what Charice had accomplished. That she's already tested and proven. No question, she is above them. The fact that she had a duet with the top singers in the world. NO DOUBT, she doesn't have to prove herself anymore. What more do we want to see and hear. She's the international STAR now. Just imagine she's has a VOCAL top international coach now. Not just a small time vocal coach. Skeptist (crabs), you all wake up, face the reality, don't be prejudice.
