i got an m15 brandnew in the box from an airsoft place and they gave me a 1.2 volt nickle hydride with 7 cells and i was wondering how lond do i charge it with the standar charger that u get in the box?
Is it normal on a m16 battery charger to get a little hot cause mine got a little hot not hot where i couldnt touch it but hot that it felt like it was trying to start a fire or spmthing its a m16 battery and its got the little mini tyoe batterys in it and theres like maybe 5 6 and the outer coat is grey
I NEED HELP! After i charge my 8.4 volt battery on my smart charger and shoot my gun, after a while it stops firing and when i pull the trigger it sounds like a real firearm thats out of ammo. Is my battery, my gearbox, my motor, or the trigger messed up? PLEASE ANSWER!
@azshantris actually a 7.4 lipo performs like a 8.4 volt. i would use a 9.6 or you could use an 11.1 lipo if you really wanted. im pretty sure g&g internals will withstand a lipo.
im getting a M4 3181 , M1a1 military thompson (drum mag) and i was wondering what kind of smart charger i should get because i dont want to ruin my airsoft guns battery
@LiteScar stripped gear, blown motor, blown fuse, broken bearing, stripped pistons, anything and everything can go wrong when you have too much juice going into a gun that cant handle it.
@AirSplatcom i put a lipo into a completely stock classic army sportline p90 and a walmart crossman r74. as long as u dont hold the trigger down to long its ok for your gun, fuses in guns is a waste anywho and ive never stripped a piston with a 11.1 even after 500 rounds straight in the p90
@squarlboy9 LiPo or LiIon batteries are made up of cells each with a charge of 3.7V. Available voltages are 3.7, 7.4, 11.3, 15.0, 18.7, and so on. 9.6 or 8.4 volt batteries are usually NiCd or NiMH.
@veerut123 yea it could if you dont go fully auto all day and shoot like a retard then that battery will last hours. mine did and its less mah then yours..
@airsoftsandnigger generally if its high end gun, it will be stated as such. KWA KM series rifles are lipo ready out of the box. If not, you need to do lots of reinforcing and upgrading to make it Lipo capable
@AirSplatcom That is somewhat true 7.4v LiPo's are safer than the 11.1v 4 the TM clones but you are right about the 11.1v for the KWA's but general speaking all AEG's are LiPo Ready if you use a 7.4v LiPo for the TM Clones or if you have a KWA you can use a 11.1v LiPo it all depends how the gun is made inside
@NickDenning3 well, you could, but if you're using lipo that generally means you've invested a lot of money into a gun that can run it. You dont want to risk any malfunctions for such an investment, and a balancer in the grand scheme is not too much compared to the overall money put into a lipo gun.
im interested in buying a lipo battery. but ive been seeing that it has one of those "Deans connectors" or whatever they are called with the basic male female plugs.
and my gun is pretty much basic.
would i need one of those deans connectors for my gun to use a lipo battery??
@KandiManRavr2k8 no you wouldnt need it to run lipo. some enthusiasts prefer deans connectors because they're much more robust than standard tamiya connectors and they lower the resistance from the battery to the gearbox. It's minor but a good option to take if you have some technical know-how
Stock Leapers Combat Commando (old and new versions) will take a 11.1v Li-Po. I have the old gun (they just upgraded the gearbox on the new one) and I play every weekend including full auto parks and I have had no problems with it for about 7 months.
jAKE HAS DEF IMPROVED HIS SMOOTHNESS ON THE VIDS.. Sorry for the caps.. He looks comfortable doing the vids now... Thanks for the info on the Lipos, I have been playing with the idea of going Lipo.
