  • Hey, since megaupload has been shut down, is there any chance you could update the DL link? Great stuff.

  • Ah... D minor... the saddest key...

  • What are the movie clips from?

  • @navyman8903 its from the movie Sunshine. It's a great movie.

  • I could listen to this all day.

  • 23 people doesn't know music.

  • This is an amazing piece.

Heard this music again in The Walking Dead Wildfire episode, and I had to find this song.

  • Incredibly underrated movie...I had to watch it again after this trailer, along with Kickass and The Walking Dead...I'm sure this song is featured elsewhere, I just don't know...Fantastic song

  • I feel like crying ... is this normal?

  • @pdrcdamasco yup.

  • @pdrcdamasco

    Yes.

  • Brilliant

  • Hans zimmer has a rival...

  • This film had me on the edge of my seat from the start til the end. its films like this that keep up the film industries reputation when countless 'trash' films are being released.

  • @Recon0003

I'm glad you liked it; honestly, I didn't get the movie, on the whole. Too many unexpected things were introduced at the end, which broke the continuity, giving it a "made-up-as-they-went" feel. The protagonists never felt really well-presented in such a way as to truly care about them, and the ending wasn't quite satisfying. A lot more could have been done with the actors, plot and special effects, and could have made a truly great film. As it was, it seemingly came and went.

  • completely agree, bang on comment. Coulda been a classic

  • @tipwilkin absolutely. It was by no means the best film ever or even all that great. but i thought it still had substance, and was original, great music, good acting etc. do you see what I mean? Its good film making. I totally understand what you mean about the end, tbh it could have done without the whole glowing god man thing and perhaps should have been simply about saving mankind, but it was interesting and somewhat epic in scale.

  • @Recon0003 I liked the ending, i didn't see it as "suddenly its a horror movie" like a lot of people. It remained pretty well planted in sci-fi realm while dabbling in the thriller realm in the end. Pinbacker (skinless man) cracked under the pressure of the gravity of the mission, he made peace with his assumed fate long before the Icarus II arrived, and after years of being alone in space, went crazy over that idea. It didn't need to to go that direction but i understand the it all fits in.

  • man against god; and man will win by becoming god

  • Was there ever a greater movie?

  • @mrladiesdream there was, but I'm not allowed to talk about it.... wink wink....

  • 1 of the greatest songs ever for 1 of the best movies ever.

  • Das ist wirklich Bombastisch und wie es sich dann so kraftvoll aufbaut.

    einfach nur genial

  • This film is unmissable

  • Wow how very cool!!! This version is great!! Did you create it?!

  • one m0:00re time

  • Hearing the Song and watching the movie makes me think like, humanity should never explore space because destroying one of the most beautiful and only known planet to live on is farely enough...

  • this version is a masterpiece. great job strichninchen.

  • This is amazing.

  • I'm glad I found this, I'll be sure never to fly to close to the sun.

  • Oh and I forgot the original to this is actually Rank 1 - Airwave.

  • this was in walking dead too!! in season one when they were going to the CDC. i think it was the episode before the last of the season, maybe two before.

  • This is how life sounds like after 13 billion years of evolution. And it keeps getting better.

  • @Durrakan yeah i get that feeling when i listen to the end of mahlers resurrection symphony

  • Realy nice movie this one is.

  • This piece of music is brilliant, but sad and depressing.

  • Woah.. I love Adagio in D Minor, but this version is something else.

  • If the soundtrack is any indication to how good the movie is, then I really, really need to see this movie.

  • @xcitric yeah it really is !

  • @xcitric It's a great movie. And the soundtrack only makes it better.

  • @xcitric Yes, it really is an indication to how good the movie is.

  • this was a great way to introduce the red sku

  • Jesus, this is one awesome piece of music! Absolutely well done. Fantastic sound and magnifically arranged. Love the movie as well. A major fav and will share. Thank you so very much!

  • Written for the last human, alone with god.

  • @Xeldril Written for the last human, for all of humanity.

  • @Xeldril May God forgive us...

  • @ChaoticSoulx it was god that almost ended the mission for the second time. thank god it didnt ;-)

  • @Xeldril If he's with someone he's not alone.

  • @Xeldril after seeing that comment i got a tattoo that says "alone with god" written in sanskrit

  • @Xeldril thanks btw i hope you are not mad

  • this is probably one of my favorite pieces of music of all time and i have searched far and wide for a good mix. YOU made this amazing piece of music even better, which is so hard to do. THANK YOU and amazing job!

  • I wish I could touch the sun.

  • I had no idea music like this existed

  • @Kevinofrepublic Me 2. Now I see I have spent much time listening to metal.

  • @Kevinofrepublic You didn't know ambient existed? lolololol what the heck were you listening to before? We've had other awesome genres such as new age and trance music since.

  • @Kevinofrepublic Research "Post Rock"

    you might like it

  • @Kevinofrepublic was that an Amadeus reference?

  • Thumbs up if you're a goon and the Federation brought you here.

  • Awesome!

  • We got scared

  • The only dream I ever had

    The surface of the sun

Every time I shut my eyes

    It's always the same

  • I love the two climaxes in this. Normally you only get one climax, not two.;)

  • @eamonreillydotcom I see what you did there. ;)

  • awesome

  • This is totally related to the song, but is anyone else a bit peeved by the use of "pompous" and "bombastic" here? It feels like somebody just learned some new words or just likes the thesaurus.

  • Chingona la rola!!!!

  • Thanks to the uploader for sharing this, this is true art!

And to the rest of the world. I LOVE YOU ALL

  • good movie, great piece of music, truly awe-inspiring like the sun

  • What struck me so deeply about this film is how it show's people going to such extreme desperate measures to try to live and at the same time so completely willing to give up their own lives to save all humanity.

  • the first time i saw this movie was on my computer and i had headphones on. the first thing that hit me was how amazing the score was. its captivating. and on top of that the movie is awesome and the cast is great.

  • @invaderjae Huh. That was the way I first saw this movie as well.

  • Sunshine is the most under rated movie of all time.

  • i have no words to describe this masterpiece....

  • It's awesome how a good soundtrack can compliment a movie like crazy, especially sci-fi films. Fountain and Sunshine are brilliant examples for movies with insanely good soundtracks that make the movie so much better!!

  • @majinraptor Couldn't agree more with you..

  • @majinraptor i hate to correct. but this would be considered a score not a soundtrack. but it is amazing to say the least.

  • @invaderjae It is a score but is also part of the movie's soundtrack.

  • @majinraptor who is the artist of the Fountain song you speak of?

  • @FreeKnowledge01 Clint Marshall

  • @majinraptor thank you :)

  • This would make a great last stand theme for a movie

  • @Webmay You will win this fight, I'm sure.

  • wow there is even a BOMBASTIC version of it? Not that the theme alone isnt bombastic enough ^^

  • The Drums are just the icing on the cake!

  • @Webmay that is what music is supposed to do for us!! Keep fighting!!

  • Self-Sacrifice

  • This version is so good too...some.. more touching than origin ver.

  • Great.!! I would love to hear what a dubstep version would be like too..!!

  • If anyone wants to learn this song check out my channel for the tutorial and sheetmusic!

  • check out my video of sunshine with amazing visuals in HD, search - 'John Murphy - Sunshine (Adagio In D Minor) + Beautiful HD Visuals'

  • I love how there's countless artists who used that chord progression before.

  • Wow this song is greeaat. Epic.

  • I was just the 1000th Like :D

  • well done

  • or just look at the message psycholnx007 wrote two days ago

  • multiple movies its in one movie is kick-ass

  • What movie is this sound track to?

  • my favorite song

  • @Webmay

YES! i hope you do well :)

  • To anyone else like me who was going crazy trying to remember where they heard this song, this John Murphy composed theme is used in, Sunshine (Movie), Kick-Ass (Movie), The Walking Dead (TV) S1Ep5, Fringe (TV) Unaired Pilot, V (TV) Season 1 Finale, X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Movie) Trailer only, The Adjustment Bureau (Movie) Trailer. It was NOT in 28 Days Later (Movie) or it’s sequel 28 Weeks Later (Movie) That is an earlier John Murphy Song “In the House, in a Heartbeat” -Show me your thumbs!

  • @Psycholynx007 Thank you SO much!

  • @Psycholynx007 I don't think you watch enough TV.

  • @Psycholynx007 Thanks for the list! "In the House, in a Heartbeat" interestingly is also in Kick-Ass, as "Big Daddy Kills".

  • @Psycholynx007 (bows down) I literally just came to this video to ask about that. Thank you so much. XD

  • @LuvableDork Your very welcome. Also, I didn't say it earlier but this is the same chord progression as "Zombie" by the Cranberries. Em > C > G > D/F#

  • @Psycholynx007 thats literally almost every song ever written. lol

  • @Psycholynx007 not many comments truly deserve the thumbs up... this one does

  • This movie was so very beautiful... brings me to tears EVERY TIME. The music is just so very perfect. I'm amazed when great actors, great score, perfect directing, not too much CGI, and flawless story line comes together and produce a masterpiece. This movie is a classic in my eyes. PERFECT in every way.

  • PLEASE HELP ME! Does anyone know where I can watch this movie online for free? (no Japanese subtitles please)

  • I really like this version of the song. The original was great. This is great as well, yet... different.

Movie wasn´t as good as it could have benn. Great visuals, though.

  • Anyone know where you can get this? Can't find the Sunshine score anywhere... I'm guessing it's only on some non-legit CD you can only get at conventions, like the Vangeles Blade Runner score.

  • @UncleDeluxe keepvid.com put in the url of any utube vid and you can download. you can also save to mp3 format so you can upload to your ipod. glad to help you out:)

  • @UncleDeluxe it is on itunes but unfortunately there is no cd

  • I actually went back to Sunshine recently after not watching since 2008 and realized why some people may not have liked it. Quite simply, the Director's Cut is 100 times better than the theatrical version that most people have seen. (The ending is much more drawn out and better...)

  • @SpippyTheInsane I've never scene the directors cut, I didn't even know one existed...where would I look for it?

  • In* not is

  • I remember hearing the original sunshine version not this one is The Walking Dead, and it made me go into a hesteria looking through old dvds for sunshine to find this song lol. Then I watched the movie cuz till this day its ahead of its time, and I think it will be for a long time. Stunning visual experince, amazing story, ear jizz music.

  • I like this version, minus the first appearance of the drums. They come in a little too hard. I may try to edit them out in my own version.

I really like this version of the song. Anyone know if there's another alternate that has this approach but without the hard drums?

  • @TVK1337 there is the original orginal from Miami Vice called "who are you?"

  • If Chuck Norris composed classical music, it would sound a lot like this.

  • My penis grew an inch after hearing this

  • i would love to see evelyn glennie do something with this song

  • 17 people got burnt up by the sun

  • 17 people were too stupid to hit the like button.

    AWESOME SOUNDTRACK I LOVE IT!!

  • THIS SONG GOT MY HAND SHAKING! i love adrenaline!!!

  • do pushups to this shit

  • What a gorgeous music!!!

  • Yes amazing movie, I don't know why more people didn't see it. I mean, it had all B list actors, but these were B list actors that you've seen before, so you know they can act.

Shame more people didn't see this movie.

  • I usually don't like remixes, but I really loved this one! Very good job!

  • The key is Em...

  • @Axl8787

I know and you are not the first to recognize this. Let's call it artistic license. But it always puzzles me how people can tell the difference. I can't do that. Would like to have such a fine musical hearing too.

  • @Strichninchen Adagio means 'at ease' in Italian, and denotes a slow pace, around and under 60 beats per minute. It is the second slowest of the most common tempo markings, after largo.

  • @Strichninchen only few people can recognize the exact height of a note. But every musician can say two notes are the same. It's called tuning, an you can use the same technique to find in wich key the music is.

  • @Strichninchen hes right though, I can tell too!

  • I love the percussion they've added to this!

  • @Strichninchen I started learning an instrument in January, recognized my first key a month ago, and was probably slow at that. Not too hard if you know what to look out for, and you don't need a fine ear for music.

  • @yvranx Good!

  • @Strichninchen He would have had to refer to an instrument to know it was in E. Tonalities for the most part are easy to recognize with the correct training but the Key is something no one can know for sure off the top of their head, unless you are an individual that posses a rare gift called Perfect Pitch which lets you accurately guess the Key of a piece. The average musician must train to remember one key by which to judge all others, and hence find the key. This is called Relative Pitch :)

  • @Strichninchen Absolute pitch (AP), widely referred to as perfect pitch, is the ability of a person to identify or re-create a given musical note without the benefit of an external reference.

  • @Strichninchen We've just heard it that much ;)

  • @Strichninchen

my brother has this talent also

  • @Axl8787

my brother has this talent also

  • what is this kind of music called?

  • Truly beautiful.

  • Heart renderingly beautiful with the essence of both martyrdom and conviction with a hint of the beauty of dying and knowing someone else, or perhaps many others, will live and prosper?

    Yes... Yes..

  • @AtheismCentral WELL put!!!

  • @ProjectSWOLENESS

This so ng has a lot of meaning to me.
