Are those large resistors with clear heatshrink on them? Also, why so much solder on the pads? I've heard it suggested that the smallest amout of solder should be used to make an electrical connection. But I'm ever learning when it comes to this stuff.
@prospectorman yeah, heatshrink is just an overkill. I wanted to prevent a lead from the reisistor from shorting with anything so I wrapped it. Also tinned traces to prevent corrosion, but my iron tip is not very good for that so it turned out a bit slopply. You can skip both :)

they are all standard J201. I tried with MPF102 but didn't like it
