Ironhide was the most confusing for g1 kids, where is his head? Where are the drivers? And then you have the cartoon version which looks nothing like this. I have always wondered if the later non diaclone/microman toys like the headmasters were marketed to preschool kids because they lack the detail and quality that the first and second series g1 stuff has.

If I had to guess, I'd say that it's just a regular toy truck. It is weird that they used such a huge truck though isn't it?

It's a diaclone robot, he was later repainted for the 1980s Transformers line named 'Ironhide'.

This was supposed to be Sideswipe, hence the "Rocket pack" mentioned on his tech specs. They, instead used a different design for Sideswipe after using the yellow repaint on this one for Sunstreaker.

They sure are, and in America there were rare releases of Ironhide and Sunstreaker in their original Diaclone colors. I wish that there were of the blue and silver Bluestreak Diaclone! I like the music in this commercial.  It means business.

Quite literally - the toy that would become Sunstreaker was the very first car-to-robot transforming toy ever designed. Unfortunately, his mold was either lost or damaged beyond repair, so we'll never get a Reissue Sunstreaker.
