While Dean didn't talk about it much, he was a big fan of the great Al Jolson, here singing a Jolson classic. Sittin' was of course another Jolson classic and Dean in fact did a tribute album to Jolson called Swingin' Down Yonder. He also marveled at good friend Eddie Fisher's great interpretations of Jolson tunes, often inviting him on his TV show. And Dean also recorded a number of tunes from Jolson's big rival, Eddie Cantor, such as My Baby Just Cares for Me and If You Knew Susie.
